We visited Palolem on 7th june,2019 and it was indeed a worth it experience. This place gives you the vibe of real Goa,even though the hubbub around is pretty much less than in north Goa.The journey greets you with mesmerising views of South Goa and Portugese architecture.À

Cola Beach

Reviewed By ThroughEyesOfMyCam - New Delhi, India

Cola beach is a remote beach present in cancona village of Goa which gives you a treat to your eyes that is beyond words. This place not only exhibit a Aqua Blue serene beach with coconut tress on its coast but also a green lagoon where you can enjoy swimming!! Cola beach is not a easy place to reach and so has preserved its natural beauty in these many years. You need to trek about 4km to reach this beauty. And if have good driving skills, you can even drive a scooter to this place. It is steep descend with no paved path full of mud. We visited this place during raining season and found quite risky to drive then. The path was little slippery, and so we decided to trek half way to beach. If you happen to trek to the beach, you will witness few hidden gems on the way which is usually missed when on bike . On the way to the beach we encountered a small part of lagoon some one km just before it meets the ocean. The place is scheduled with no tourist or locals near it. You can hear the flow of water and rustling of leaves very clearly here I Weescended near the shallow water body and enjoyed there for almost an hour in the fresh clean water. There was one beach hut on the opposite end of the lagoon where we saw a foreigner meditating with OM mantra in background. About 20 min walk from this place we reached cola beach which withholds one of the most beautiful beach South Goa has to offer you. One end of this beach offers you a endless view of the sea blue coast with no sign of human intervention in between and the other end gives you a glimpse of lagoon made of green water. This perfect blend of salt and sweet water is a perfect dream destination you could ever image. The lagoon of green water is encircled with lush green palm trees behind it which darkens with the depth of jungle. Where to stay : 1) Blue lagoon Resort is one of the best budget options to stay here. They have both beach facing cottages and lagoon facing huts and I can't score anyone of them with more points. Both of them have their own beauty. Estimated cost : Rs 1500-3000 2) Other option is to stay in Dwarka Eco Beach Resort which has equally good and sea view cottages. Estimated cost : Rs 7000-10000 The restaurant on the beach is also owned by Blue Lagoon Resort where you can try some sea food and drinks .

Galjibaga Beach

Reviewed By MARGDARSHI

I have come to Goa for the last countless times but i have always inadverntly missed out visiting this lovely Galjibaga Beach. So we decided to make amends this time & arranged for one visit this time by an auto which takes about half an hour. On reaching there we found the beach more or less deserted except for some odd tourists. There were crabs of all sizes & it being a Turtle breeding ground saw some with their eggs. The beach is neat & clean with a small rough rocky stretch behind .There is a bar & an eating place & you have to rent out an umbrella so its better to bring along with you a basket of eats & drinks & an umbrella, which we did.

This winter of 2020 was our fourth spent mainly on Talpona Beach. And every day we ate in Texas Restaurant. A friendly family run establishment, feet in the sand, view forever of the Arabian Sea, delicious food, wide choice of drinks... The fish, fresh daily, is prepared with skill and care and cooked to perfection: Crab Masala, Jacques' favourite and mine Prawn Sukka ... A good mixture of locals and visitors relaxing and enjoying the hospitality of Tulsi and Nutan Komerpant and their family of whom young Tanish is the youngest member... (see photos)

Kakolem Beach

Reviewed By pavanpanandikar - Goa, India

This is a small stretch of sand may be two hundred meters in length with a rocky outcrop towards the southern end and is located in a private property. It s approached from a muddy trail and thereon through a long flight of lateritic steps along the hill side in view of the beach with the nearest landmark being the Cabo Da Rama Fort which is about fifteen minutes towards north. It is a virgin beach with a restaurant, the area looks to be set up for a beach resort. The long flight of stairs back to the plateau is a streneous cardio exercise and is only for those who are extremely fir and healthy. Incidentally the edge of the plateau also offers panoramic views of the sea from the location. The beach is also called as tiger beach due to some sightings in the past. Another interesting feature here is a waterfall which cascades down to the beach from the hillside during the rains.
