As a visitor at the Porcelain Museum (Porselensmuseet) you are invited into a historical understanding of the craft of porcelain. The production facility at Porsgrund Porselænsfabrik and their factory outlet is in the same building as the Porcelain Museum. So too is the Auction Hall, where you might just find the old porcelain you have searced for.
The museum shows sculptures, paintings, graphic art and drawings by the famous artist Dyre Vaa (1903-1980). The sculptor Tor Vaa, son of Dyre Vaa, is also represented by a special exhibition. Next to Gustav Vigeland, Dyre Vaa is the sculptor who to the greatest extent has influenced Norwegian sculptural art. Open in summer season.
