Whatever your reason for visiting, if you are looking for a unique venue with an intimate atmosphere, come and see the Vale of Glamorgan's best kept secret for yourself. We offer vouchers for our award-winning wine and for tours of the vineyard! You can even stay in our spacious accommodation at the beautiful vineyard! We can plan an event to remember especially for you, where your preferences and choices come first. We are a vibrant, small business priding ourselves on our attention to detail and our ability to tailor our events to our customer's needs.
Highly recommend a visit to this vineyard tucked away in the Vale of Glamorgan. A very friendly family run enterprise offering an interesting tour around the vine fields and an even better home cooked lunch with samples of their very pleasant wines. The family are clearly, quite rightly, very proud of their wines and are more than willing to chat about their history and experiences.

White Castle Vineyard is owned by Robb & Nicola Merchant, it is situated in the beautiful rolling countryside of Monmouthshire in the village of Llanvetherine close to the towns of Abergavenny and Monmouth. The 5 acre vineyard is planted on a gentle south facing slope that is ideal for growing vines and ripening grapes for Welsh wine. White Castle Vineyard is Wales premier vineyard and is dedicated to producing a variety of quality welsh wines using first class viticultural practices. Visitors are warmly invited to visit White castle Vineyard to experience the beauty and tranquillity of our rural setting. We have our Award Winning Quality Welsh Wine available for purchase from the Cellar Door
Fabulous couple of hours spent learning not only about the wine, but the personal story and passion behind the business. Probably the warmest, most genuine, personal ‘guided tour’ we have been on, delivered by Rob who is not only incredibly knowledgable but fun, friendly, full of anecdotes and stories and happy to share his knowledge. We spent time wandering through the vines tasting the different types of grape (we were lucky to visit just before harvesting time), followed by a relaxed and informative wine tasting - 4 types of wine to test with Rob guiding us through each one. They were all fantastic. There is absolutely no pushy selling at all, but of course you fall a little bit in love with the place and wanting to take a little bit of the magic away with us, we came away with a box of wine which we will enjoy along with the memories. Highly recommended way to pass a couple of hours

We stumbled upon the vineyard whilst walking around Tintern Abbey - and I'm very glad we did! Upon entry, we were greeted by Colin - a chap with loads of character - who gave us advice regarding the self-guided tour of his vineyard (£2 per person - easily worth it). Returning to the shop, we were given a complimentary wine tasting, with an explanation of each, including a brief lesson in Welsh! Colin is not a pompous toff, he's very down to earth and entertaining - we laughed a lot. Tintern Parva has won many awards for its wines, which resulted in us buying 4 bottles. Great trip out. The only thing that would make this better is if there were a wine bar on the side, so we could fill ourselves on locally made wines, and roll ourselves down the hill to the hotel at the end.

Had a lovely afternoon at this wine tasting haven within the heart of Monmouthshire. I treated my parents and friends to day of wine tasting and lunch, this is the place to be, there are a pleasant variety of wines on show and we tried them all, this was followed by a healthy Cheese platter of which all food was sourced locally. The cost is £20 per head of which I feel is great value for Money, Richard the owner was a lovely host and very knowledgeable about the products he has on offer. This is a must try if in the area, you will love it if you love Wine!!! Thanks Richard

Myself and my partner booked this as a post lockdown treat and we both really enjoyed it. We were the only two people on the tour so it did feel extra special but I’m sure it would of been fantastic in a group too. Excellent value for money and Adam our guide was really knowledgable and had a fun personality which isn’t always present in tours like this. Will be booking more tours in the future as I think it will make a lovely gift for family members.
