Deep in the Patagonian Andes, Pucon is a picture perfect town accessed by plane in summer or by a nine-hour drive or train ride from Santiago. A great base for adventure vacations, Pucon is crammed with visitors during summer months December, January and February. Watch molten magma ooze down Mount Villarrica, hop between hot and cold thermal pools at Termas Geometricas or take the reigns of Criollo horses to explore the Andes on horseback. For other expeditions, rent a car or mountain bike.

Enjoy a seasonal Chilean meal in rural Pucón with your host Carolina and her family. This is a perfect experience for anyone looking to connect with local culture over food. Carolina is originally from Temuco in Southern Chile, where she was raised among the plants, fruits and vegetables her family cultivated in their enormous garden. Carolina inherited her love of cooking from the women in her family. After successful, fast-paced careers in London, Carolina (a journalist) and her husband Alain (a financial engineer from France) decided to move to Pucón to open their B&B. Their property includes a beautiful garden, bee hives, play areas for their children, a pool, and a stunning view of Villarrica, a beautiful active volcano. Carolina grows many of the fruits and vegetables you will enjoy on her property, so her cooking is fresh, organic and seasonal. Carolina and Alain love to share their lives with their guests, so relax and enjoy the pleasures of a home-style meal at their table.
Inclusions: Private organic meal with your host Carolina, Beverages, All taxes, fees and handling charges, Gratuities, Lunch, Dinner, Alcoholic Beverages

It was a really good experience, more than I expected. There was like 4 hours of ascent, the view was amazing. As we were higher the view was even better. In term of difficulty it wasn’t as difficult as I thought. The guide and the team were worry that everybody were enjoying the experience, stopping if it was need it or going slower if someone was tired. They also provided a very complete and good equipment. When we arrive to the top they prepared to us a picnic, whith an amazing view to the volcano and to the lake. It was December 31st, so they also brought New Year cotillon. To go downhill we slidding with part of out equipment like a trineo, we have a lot of fun. I strongly recommend this experience! Was amazing.

From start to finish, this was a great adventure. Our guides, Francisco and Felipe, picked us up at our apartment. Both were respectful, knowledgeable and pleasant to spend the day. After a rigorous hike that opened into expansive 360 degree views of towering volcanos, we enjoyed soaking in amazing hot springs for several hours. Our guides were flexible and made various suggestions that helped us get the most from this day long excursion. There is food and drink for purchase at the hot springs but be sure to pack snacks and water for the hike. I recommend this for folks ready for a hiking challenge and who appreciate natural wonders of hot springs, mature foliage and crystal clear waterfalls. Memorable day!
