This trip is not just for those interested in geology: anyone who loves nature and breathtaking landscapes should join us on this special excursion. Our 4X4 vehicles allow us to visit the unspoiled natural beauty that makes Mount Etna so famous, while avoiding the crowds of tourists. Enjoy extraordinary scenery, ancient forests, black lava fields left from previous eruptions, volcanic craters, lava caves and other natural wonders accessible only to those with the right set of tires.
This was an amazing experience. Although I travelled solo, I took this excursion with two other people who were staying at the same accommodation. We were picked up by our guide, Alfio, who was very welcoming and friendly. During the whole trip he explained us so much and told us a lot about not only Mount Etna but as well Sicily’s history. I could have spent several days with him and not get bored. We went to see several places (cave, lava flow of 2002, the skistation, Mt Satorius,...) with the help of the great driving skills of our guide in the 4x4. Very professional, very friendly, just a great experience in every way! Thank you Alfio!

Sicily's greatest natural attraction is also its highest mountain: Mount Etna, at 10,990 feet, is the most active volcano in Europe and the oldest recorded active volcano in the world.
We had clear weather so it was not to cold the view was awsome we were not able to trekk up to the top crater due to the increased activity and safety standards but you could still hear and see the small eruptions and sulpher yellow about the top crater. The large lava fields are otherworldy the guide was great plenty of good info the bus ride was good to an open bus the guide was real helpfull around etna

we spent a week here on the island, there is something very special about being on a small island where you can walk to almost everything. Really good supermarket right next to a wonderful ice cream shop and they will deliver to your holiday home if you have anything heavy. The mud baths were worth a dip, only 3Euro plus 2Euro for a shower. After the dip you can go in the sea which has some hot bubbles coming up, making it fun. Be warned the clothes you wear that day will hold the scent of sulphur for a few washes or else wear something that you dont want to keep! We rented a house from Luigi through Airbnb. what a nice guy, really helpful, took us shopping the first day, showed us the best places to eat and took us on two boat trips.
