The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) located in the leafy suburb of Gigiri, Nairobi, is one of the four United Nations Headquarters and the only one in Africa and the Global South. The Visitors Service’s main goal is to inform visitors about the work of the United Nations and its agencies by opening up the United Nations Complex to the public. The Visitors Service provides guided tours to tourists, delegates, schools, colleges and universities as well as the general public. It's the most iconic place in Kenya. There are three huge water fountains at the front, surrounding a monument of Kenya's 1st president. The best experience is at the rooftop where you have a 360 degrees view of the whole of Nairobi. It's amazing. There is a restaurant within the grounds but it is a bit pricey for someone on a budget. It houses some government offices so the security at the entrance is a bit tight but the visit is worth the hussle. There is an entry fee depending on age and nationality.

It is the best center for all the information you may need to know to discover and enjoy your stay in the town of Malindi Kenya.
