After a New Orleans hotel pickup, relax on board an enclosed, air-conditioned bus to the Plantation of your choice. You will be given a guided tour through the main house and some time to walk the grounds . You will then take a short ride and your at the swamps. Your invited to join us for an educational journey back to the early days of Louisiana bayou and swamp explorations. Swamp creatures, seeing our boats daily, recognize them as part of their normal environment. Unafraid and responsive to their boat captain's call, they peak out from underbrush and between moss-draped trees and shrubs, frequently coming directly to the boat. In the safety and comfort of the boat, you can actually come within a few feet of jumping alligators.
Inclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off, Driver/guide, Live commentary on board, Transport by air-conditioned minivan
Exclusions: Food and drinks
Our guide, Gary was excellent. We saw and heard about all of the key sights in NOLA! Plus he took us to a Cafe DuMonde in City Park where we were able to get beignets without waiting in horrendous lines in the French Quarter. This tour allowed us to get our bearings for where we wanted to go on the rest of our visit and Gary even dropped us off at a restaurant we wanted to try at the end of the tour.
No trip to New Orleans would be complete without a swamp tour. Engage your boat Captains and tour guides with questions about the plantation and the Louisiana swamp!!!

Brian was great, funny and educational. On our way to the Whitney Plantation, he pointed out several landmarks and showed us a lot of movie sites without the extra cost, including evergreen plantation, oak alley plantation and other locations. We even stopped for food, Brian was very generous and very hospitable. The entire experience was made 100 times better thanks to "Derek". Recommend this 100%.
