Big disappointment

We have stayed here for years and always had a nice stay. But this past week was horrible. Items were missing from the rooms, like the hairdryer, and the entire hotel has really a come run down since I was here last year. Very disappointed

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We decided to drive a few hours from home and spend the night to make our next day’s drive shorter. Got to Wichita Falls and stopped at the HoJo since it was on our way out of town on 287. Big mistake! HUGE! We asked for a double room. Got our keys and went in. It was late so we were just going to go to bed. My husband went to go to the bathroom and there was hair on the toilet and urine all over the floor. Pulled back the covers and there was blood and hair all over the sheets. Absolutely disgusting! I was not letting my kids stay there. We loaded our things back in the car and went straight to the office. Told the man at the desk we wanted a refund because the room was filthy and we weren’t staying. He refused to refund us. He said we had been there “a while”. I said it had only been 15-20 minutes at most and he said no. You’ve been here a while. Our policy says we cannot refund you. First, that was a lie. It was 1037 when we pulled up and went into the office, had to wait for a woman in front of us to check in, got checked in ourselves, hauled four people’s luggage from the car to the room, loaded everything back up, and after he refused to refund us and we returned to the car, the clock said 1101. We obviously had not been in the room “for a while” and he knew it. He gave us a nasty room knowing we would not stay and he knew he would lie and refuse to return our money. If you’re a crackhead and don’t care - stay in their nastiness! But if you’re a decent person, you don’t want to stay anywhere near this place! I only wish we hadn’t been in such a hurry to leave that we didn’t take pictures for me to show y’all how bad it was!!

I reserved a room at this hotel on Thursday at 5:10 PM (Reference ID: DFAT4125) OYO Hotel Wichita Falls I-44 Sheppard Airforce. When I arrived at the hotel, I was late checking in, the lady that was working was asleep on the couch. When I woke her up to check in, she got very upset with me. She told me that she had a cash deposit policy and I had to give her $10 cash. After telling her that I don't carry cash, she had me fill out some card with my information and gave me a key for a room for a king size bed, (room 225) when I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. I returned to the office to have to wake her again to fix the room issue. After getting the room key fixed, I entered the room (room 228) to find a bathroom with missing tiles, bathtub was completely disgusting, beds bigger than the box frames they sat on, and not clean, holes in the wall and just a general mess everywhere. Iimmediately left the room and returned the key. I then contacted OYO via chat approximately 1 hr later (after finding another hotel) and cancelled and requested a refund for the reservation. Since then I have had to chat in a total of 3 times, each time re-explaining and being told that at no time was my concern escalated as it should have been and that no one was reviewing my issue. I was also told that a team had to "validate my concern". When a customer raises a concern, the first employee they contact should validate it. Another team may be needed to "investigate" my concern but it should be validated instantly. But that aside. I was promised that my issue would be address in 24-48 hours, I waited 48 hours and chatted back in and was told that no one was working on my issue. And the photos on this and every other site for it do not look anything like you will find at the hotel.

Bad choice

Reviewed By hobbsnm

My friend and I came to Wichita Falls for our annual fishing trip. My longtime friend is a disabled Vet, and has somewhat of a difficulty walking so instead of pitching a tent, we decided to upgrade a little, but little did we know, we were going to be given a terrible motel room. To start off, when we walked in, our room (107) smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Sign on the door explicitly states, “No Smoking”. Secondly the electrical outlet next to one of the beds had no power. Third, the toilet seat and lid was so loose, that o almost fell off when I sat down Fourth, the shower curtain had dark stains and one stain looked like old blood!! The shower tile was very moldy and the exhaust fan was missing the cover. Also in the bathroom, there is a yellow organizer for towels. It is very outdated. There is a 2’ fluorescent light behind a clear glass which is leaning up against the wall. You can see the wire nuts connecting the power wires together. Yes, this did beat setting up a tent, but I’ll never stay here again. The second day I made a call to the front desk and requested those items be fixed. When we got back to the room, only the shower curtain was replaced. Neither the outlet or the toilet seat/lid was repaired.
