Hosted a group of 28 people in total at Machauka Lodge in Janary 2022. Awesome venue - staff, accommodation, rooms, gardens, pool, food - everything was outstanding - lots of compliments from everybody. Highly recommended 1

We had a huge family room with 3 double beds. Excellent shower with 2 spray heads and all toiletries provided. Safe and secure. Amazing deck area with woodburner, comfortable seatings, extra blankets and huge TV. Full English Breakfast cooked to order. Staff discreet but available. After service amazing - I left a plug and charger cable and it was immediately posted on to me. Cannot recommend this place enough. Although it is located a 10 minute drive off the main route to Botswana, it ist definitely worth it. Nearby mall only has Nando's and McDonalds so it is a drive back to the main road to large hotels with better restaurants.

We stayed over on our way back from Botswana. Rooms are clean, luxurious, with aircon. Comprehensive breakfast buffet. We opted to braai next to the pool in the beautiful garden, and was surprised with excellent krummel pap and sheba from our host. Great traditional South African hospitality.

Upon arriving at the Maartens Drift borderpost quite early, we opted to cross the border back into South Africa & stay over at Lephalale. We made a reservation at Molalatau Lodge & informed the manager Strephen that we might be a little late. Upon arrival at the camp jyst after sunset, we were awaited by Stephen & Mpo. They escorted us to the camping site & even carried a "braai drum" for us to our camping site. On mentioning to Stephen that we all would appreciate a hot shower, he made the bathroom of an adjacent chalet available for our use. Afterwards we found out that Stephen was actually supposed to be off duty, but opted to wait for our arrival. The camping sites are on lucious semi-shaded lawns.
