Stayed two nights at Guesthouse Nandeyanen because it is close to the Churaumi Aquarium and other major sightseeing spots. The owner is very knowledgeable and with his recommendations we were able to get in more sightseeing than we had planned! I stayed in the mixed dormitories and we were allowed to choose our beds since we arrived early. There is a thin shower curtain-type drape in front of each of the bunks, but it does not provide much privacy. This was not such an issue, since there were few people staying at the time. I found the dorms to be clean, but the common areas and toilet/showers needed more attention. My biggest issue was that there are not many amenities for female travelers here. There was no trash can in the toilet, one very weak travel-sized hair dryer, and one shower did not have locks on the doors! There is one toilet on the first floor that is not a private room (there are gaps near the ceiling) which made it difficult to use if other people were in the vicinity. That being said, I am glad we chose to stay at Guesthouse Nandeyanen because the owner is very friendly and there were many chance to interact with other guests. I would stay again in the future.

The guest house is in a quiet and secluded location on Sesoko Island. To find the place on Google Map, you have to use its Japanese name (ゲストハウス かふぅ村). There is a small parking area (space for 4-5 cars) outside the guest house. From the outside, the guest house looks like it is assembled from several cargo containers. But the interior is interesting and cosy. The common area (with a TV, a small kitchen and free wifi) is decorated with pictures and souvenirs of Okinawa and photos of high school students who stayed at the guest house previously. The sleeping area consists of cubicles separated by wooden walls and colourful curtains with Okinawan patterns. There are 2 toilets outside the common area and a shower room in the sleeping area. The place is clean and quiet, and the owner is very friendly and he can speak English. The price is also very affordable (my main reason for choosing this place). It is an interesting place to experience Okinawan hospitality.

A coffee house and guest house. There are three sleeping options: Mixed dorms, Girls only dorms, (3000 yen per person) and one private room ( two people- 7000 yen). The coffee house serves breakfasts and lunch. The location is 5 minutes walk from the beach, and 15 to the aquarium. Beautiful sunsets, as the name promises.

This stay was one of my best experiences during my journey in Okinawa. The owners are nice and kind people. The place has a homey and warm atmosphere. The two dogs are so cute and lovely. When I go there, it is more like visiting friends than booking a random accomodation. The area is quiet but super central and a perfect spot to get around (bus and car). All you need is nearby! You can easily walk to Sesoko Island. There is no better place in Motobu!
