We chose the BB Girasole as a quick stop during a roadtrip and we found it surprisingly great! The friendly and young staff welcomed us in this countryside villa where the rooms, clean and well furnished face an estonishing view of the valley. The relaxing environment, the convenient location and familiar mood makes it the best BB I have ever been!

I was greeted at the bottom of the stairs by weeds and dog poo. Then you have to walk up many many steps until you find this place. I checked in, was given a key and went to my room. Bed was comfortable, they gave me a fan (33c in Zoagli), and although my agent had booked me a sea view, you can be the best judge by the picture. They have several dogs barking a lot and the church bells deafening. So........ The bus is infrequent and stops about 7pm. There is one taxi in Zoagli (not one “firm”....... one taxi)and he stops at 8pm. So if you are down in town after this, you are completely stuffed!!! The drive is about 10/15 minutes. The walk, up steep hill ALL THE WAY, about an hour and a half I reckon. Avoid avoid!! The round trip by taxi was 30 €. So save yourself this money and find somewhere closer to town. Otherwise, 8pm it is!!! Probably one of the very worst places I have ever stayed.

We checked out after one night this is not a bed and breakfast. The quality is very poor, uncomfortable, noisy, no view from the room as represented, no host service, expensive for a room, bathroom very poor and no toiletries supplied as a basic needs required for guests. No breakfast served. This is not the experience we expected or received for all other established B & B’s on our two week holiday. This is a money revenue stream only no thought for the guests.

We only stayed for 1 night in this magnificent area of the Italian Riviera, but we liked this property. Let's start with the positives: All rooms are spacious and have a little kitchenette. The villa itself looks wonderful and stylish and the view of the sea from the rooms is absolutely amazing. The nearby beach of Zoagli is in a 3 minutes walking distance. The person who greeted us (I believe he was the owner), although he spoke only Italian, was trying to be very helpful with us. Zoagli, although not famous, is a nice spot to visit the nearby (and extremely expensive) Portofino. As far as the negatives: - Difficult to find the property, there are no signs or other labels - Very noisy in the night, it is located on the main road and there are so many motorcycles speeding (very common in Italy!) - Communication with the owner is almost impossible if you don't speak Italian. - Wi-fi didn't work inside the room (only in common areas). - People with mobility issues should avoid it - the bed (there is actually no bedroom) is located on a mezzanine, only reached by stairs. The bed, however, is quite comfortable. - The doors of the rooms (especially the locks) and the couch must be replaced!
