Disgusting- no comfort here

Reviewed By Susan R

I stayed here once about ten years ago ( maybe it wasn't a Comfort Inn then) and would never stay here again. It has gone downhill. My first hint should have been when I asked for a box of tissues and got handed a roll of toilet paper. The carpet in the room was stained, one lampshade was cracked in many places, furniture was missing the door handle, the bed pillows had no support. There were bugs crawling in the bathroom- I definitely wouldn't take a shower. There were dirty towels piled up in the elevator lobby along with a garbage bag. We wouldn't even try the continental breakfast-but I noted how cracked and worn the cushions were so I wouldn't want to sit on them. And when I checked out the clerk never said " How was everything?" I was wondering what I would say. All she said was "Room number" and "Do you want a receipt?" I definitely would recommend travelers stay somewhere else.

Safety Issues

I stayed in room 215 for 2 nights. When we were leaving on the second day we realized how the door opens without a key. My husband stopped by the front desk to tell them about the issue and she said how they're aware and have had people complain in the past. She said they usually just try not to use that room. The GM was supposed to call me but I haven't heard from them. I even sent them an email and nothing. How does a Hilton have such a huge safety issue that they're aware of yet do nothing about it?

RENTAL OF A CONFERENCE ROOM

We rented the conference room for an event we were hosting. This hotel was by far the best out of the three local hotels we have used in this area. Everything was set up exactly the way we requested it to be. We were allowed to have food and beverages brought in from an outside provider. The hotel employee who helped with the reservations was very knowledgeable and helpful (her name was Elizabeth). I would recommend this hotel.

Rundown and overpriced

Reviewed By 119ronalds

Our room was rundown and not very clean. The bathroom door didn’t shut and the TV froze every 10 seconds. Probably the worst Marriott we have stayed at. I told the front desk upon checkout the problems we had and the guy said “sorry” and continued the checkout process. Normally, I would have asked to speak with a manager but we were in a hurry and didn’t feel like getting aggravated. We stay at Marriotts a lot and will probably be switching to another chain.

Not recommended for a stay

We stopped for an overnight during a road trip. We were given a room immediately, and when we got to it, the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. The staff member at the desk gave us a new room, and was very nice and apologetic about it. The new room was clean and sufficient for the night. The next morning, there was a hot breakfast available and the gentleman running that was very nice and friendly. One thing we were disappointed to see was neither staff or guests wearing masks inside. While the hotel had signs up everywhere stating masks were required, the rule was not followed by anyone but us.
