Patuno Resort Wakatobi is the Wakatobi's most accessible 3 STAR Resort, situated only a 10 minute drive from the Matahora Airport in Wangi-Wangi. The Wakatobi National Marine Park encompasses over 12 thousand hectares of protected marine park and is made up of four main islands; Wangi-Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko. Patuno Resort stretches along a long white sandy beach which is ideal for sunbathing on, snorkeling from, strolling along, or organizing an impromptu barbecue on. A long barrier reef in front of this resort offers great diving and snorkeling opportunities. The breathtaking overhangs and steep walls of colorful corals are teaming with schooling pelagic fish and hammerhead sharks have recently been spotted here too. The resort is designed with natural building materials such as bamboo, teak wood, coconut wood, rattan and palm leaves, adding to the natural ambiance of the island.
I'm afraid most of the comments in previous reviews are correct - the food was not great and beer price (over 100k) was ridiculous. However, the room was good and the setting is picturesque. I don't think the other hotels in the area offer much different in terms of price and facilities.

I stayed here 1 night. The room was nice. The owner offer pick-up from the Airport to the homestay with normal price (taxi airport cost). He also help with information around Wanci and the transport to next destination.

An exciting Resort, where Land, Ocean & Sky meet. A Perfect Retreat to spend Quality Time Together, for Couple & Family, alike. A sought Destination for Divers & other Water Sports Enthusiasts.
Had to stay on Wangi due to ferry/plane times not matching up having traveled to the wonderful Tomia island. This place is extremely close to the airport and is in beautiful location, although it looked impossible to get down to the beach/waterfront. I stayed in a basic room, which was just that - a little over-priced for what you get. The restaurant was OK and the beer expensive. However, I was very annoyed that they are advertising the hotel as having a pool, when it is no where near completion yet.

There are standard and VIP room. Facility in standard room are AC, TV, and desk. For VIP room are AC, TV, changing room, desk and hot water. We provided breakfast and there is restaurant.
I was in this hotel for a business dinner (big group). We booked some of the participants to sleep in the rooms, so I checked very carefully how the look and if they are clean. The variety of the food that was served for our business dinner was perfect. From fish in many forms, shrimp and other seafood to a lot of vegetables, tempeh etc. Also the service was super friendly. Also the next morning, even though I didn't sleep at this place, I got a complimentary (freshly made) nasi goreng with fried eggs & coffee. Thanks for that. A lot of the participants of the dinner that stayed the night, told me they all were very satisfied. The architecture of the rooms is a bit funny, you can tell this place used to be for long term residents, but they did a great job in refurbishing it for Hotel use.
Ideal stay option for Family Vacations, Couples and Solo Travellers.

Staying at this hotel was highly recommended as a traveler. The hotel is situated in the heart of Wangi-wangi island - Wakatobi. As it is in the middle of the CBD, get other places is easier for me. Although the room is not equipped with hot water, it is very cozy, clean and noises-free. Room attendants are very responsive for every enquiry comes from its guests. The breakfast is awesome. You can order local meal as your breakfast. American and Europe breakfast style are available. You can access the kitchen as long as the manager permits to do so. And usually, the manager will allow you to access their kitchen. If I go to Wakatobi again, staying at this hotel is a must.
