Albergo Falterona welcomes its guests in a XV century building, now completely restore, situated in the wonderful Piazza Tanucci: we are in the historical centre of Stia, jewel of Casentino Valley. Here, the river arno starts flowing, among the green woods of the National park Mount Falterona and Casentino Forests. Albergo Falterona offers the possibility to stay in different accomodation typology, for a total of 23 rooms: Classic rooms, very cosy and furnished in a typical tuscan style; Modern Rooms spacious and well-lighted, with a living room ,their essential style and modern comforts and suggestive views on Piazza Tanucci or on Porciano castle
My husband and I stayed here for one night , and were made very welcome by the staff. There is a small sitting room on the first floor which was a complete surprise with coffee and tea making facilities, together with a jar of lovely biscuits. Our room was lovely, bathroom and amenities were very good, with plenty of hot water. My husband is walking The Way of St Francis to Rome and this was an ideal spot to stay before the challenging hill walk to Camaldoli. Thank you

Borgo Tramonte is a renovated eighteenth century village. Faces with a splendid view over the valley of the Casentino in Tuscany. Located 700 meters above sea level enjoys during the summer, always a pleasant climate. Located on the borders of the National Park of Casentino Forests, is ideal for a relaxing holiday in contact with nature and the tranquility.Propose a half board, breakfast and dinner, dedicated only to guests of the Borgo, in order to maintain the peace of the place. The meals are of the highest quality, fresh ingredients and the area.
You can bring the kiddos; you can bring your dogs, and still the quiet of these beautiful place will remain un-scated. Corrado is not just a host; he is like a very laid-back old friend to watch the sunday game with, sipping beer and cracking jokes. If you do need something, though; he will get immediately into action and get things done. If you need to re-charge the batteries immersed in beauty, this is the place. The apartment was roomy and comfy (if one does not mind stairs). The area is quite rich of interesting places to watch. Borgo Tramonte is a little out of "town", just above a cute little forest, and can be reached only through a dirt track that can put your car to a test; but good things do take a little extra effort. We advise you to take half board, so that you will enjoy the great, earthy food, served here for dinner. You would be a fool to miss it. Most likely, we will be back
