What a beautiful place
Reviewed By misslindielooWow! We booked this place last minute as we were travelling through Austria. We both fell in love with it on arrival. We booked the Wellness Suite which was absolutely out of this world. Our balcony overlooked the vineyard and pool area which was beautiful. The room was so clean, bed super comfy and it had everything we needed including a giant bath :) Service was excellent- as we didn't speak much German and the menus were all in German, the young lady serving really helped us out so we knew what we were ordering. We had several cold plates which were all yummy. The wine is delicious and start at around 2.40 a glass which is excellent. Breakfast the next morning was also delicious. I honestly could not fault this place and we are so excited to go back- it's such a peaceful and relaxing place and one of our favourite places now. Thank you for an excellent stay

Unser kleines Hotel zeichnet sich durch seine sehr persönliche Note und die gemütlichen Komfortzimmer, die mit Vollholzmöbel ausgestattet sind, aus. Hier kann man sich so richtig vom Alltagsstress erholen. Entspannen kann man auch in der Sauna mit Solarium oder auf unserer Sonnenterrasse mit einem Glaserl Wein. Genießen Sie den wunderbaren Ausblick auf die Weinberge und die friedliche Stimmung. Für Frühstücksgenießer bieten wir ein ausgesuchtes Buffet mit Köstlichkeiten aus der Region. Am Sonntag gibt es Sektfrühstück! Unser Weingut und Buschenschank lädt zum gemütlichen "zsammhocken" mit Freunden ein - bei einer Winzerjausen und den mehrfach ausgezeichneten Weinen unseres Weingutes. Ankommen im Weinberghof heißt "Willkommen sein" !

Reviewed By Jarmo_YThe hotel was situated on the top of the hill apx 500 meters from Donau bank. It was easy to climb with car, but I’m not sure if I had to take my luggage by foot there. The view was spectacular. There was a small parking place for cars. The hotel itself was a bit old fashioned even the lobby and wine shop was face lifted. Rooms was big and lots of cupboards. No air conditioning. Toilet was extremely small and there was separate bathroom with shower. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and premises beautiful. I think this would be good for cyclists.

Beautiful hotel, disappointing room
Reviewed By marcush484Barock-Landhof Burkhardt is located in the centre of Spitz, next to the railway station. The building is beautiful, dating to the 17th century, with a lovely garden. The staff are very friendly. The only problem was that we reserved the cheapest room, which looked nice in the photos but in reality was rather sterile, with small windows, a colourless, uncomfortable couch from the 90s, and a dining table that was partly broken. Given the lovely Biedermeier furniture elsewhere in the building, it is a pity that the pieces in our room couldn't be replaced with something else. The room is also very bright in the morning. Unlike the rest of the hotel, the atmosphere was not one of being in a baroque hotel in the Wachau. In hindsight, I regret not having upgraded, as my impression was that the other rooms were much nicer.

An authentic Austrian hotel experience
Reviewed By Huge_KThis was a terrific experience from booking to check out. The booking process was easy and friendly. Staff were welcoming on check in and showed us to our room. Our room was spacious, clean, and overlooked the Danube. We had dinner here which was first rate. The service was excellent and the food was unforgettable. Breakfast was also very good and included with the room. We knew the restaurant would be good as it was recommended by another restaurant where we stopped for lunch and it was very busy. We would definitely stay here again.
