Villa Rizzo is an absolute gem in Campania. It is a great location to stay being that its only 25 mins from the Amalfi coast and 45 mins to Napoli not to mention many great towns within and hour from there and locally. This being my 5th time at Villa Rizzo since 2007. If you happen to meet the owner, Dr. Gaetano Rizzo he is great host as well as being helpful to find you great places to visit as well. The staff are amazing and cater to your every need, The reception (Roberta, Sabrina, Benedetta) are always helpful in finding you places to visit or recommend great places to dine. That would bring me to their restaurant at Villa Rizzo. My first two visits to the farm, I didn't think to dine there. On the third trip, I actually spoke with the Chef (Riccardo) and his brother (Generoso) both amazing people and very friendly. I'm a chef myself, and I recommend dining at Villa on a few nights. Their detail to everything including their knowledge of the local ingredients and wine that have on the men, (one of my favorites is Montevetrano, which you can visit right down the road, the reception staff can make an appointment for you if Sylvia is available). As for the rooms, I have stayed in the apartment which is great for 2 couples or a small family and my favorite is the "pesca" (peach) room. It has a terrace and an amazing view. Great to sit outside and have a glass of wine and some small bites. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay always memorable! Gerardo e Sarah

We are located inside the Regional Park of the Picentini mountains: a mountainous area full of secular oak and chestnut trees, arbutus and brooms. This place is called "land of saints and bandits" it was inhabited by Greeks, Etruscans and Romans. The highest mountain is the Cervialto and you can also admire the WWF natural Oasis of the Polveracchio and Accellica mountains. Our estate that we also call it as "Agriturismo" is located between the fantastic Amalfi Coast and the Cilento Coast. The estate is made of two renovated rural houses: in one there are the sleeping areas and in the other there are the dinning rooms and the communal spaces. From the "Agriturismo" you can easily reach many places of interest which are famous for their natural beauty and historical monuments. Naples, Pompeii and Ercolano ruins, Sorrento....the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Ischia...the Cilento Coast with the famous archeological sites such as Paestum and Velia, the natural Oasis of the Cilento National Park, The Charterhouse of Padula, the city of Agropoli and Palinuro...
The host is an older lady who is very kind and helpful. She is helped by her son and daughter in law who is a very good cook. Breakfast and dinner were very good (35 EUR drinks included). The room was spacious and clean. Nice terrace. We had the advantage that we were the only guests so it was very quiet and relaxing. Only remark is that it is a bit difficult to find (no signage at all). It is well located to visit Paestum and the Amalfi coast.

Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, aCasaMia Wine Resort is a refurbished country house in San Cipriano Picentino, part of the Monti Picentini National Park. It features free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, and sun terrace. The Country House aCasaMia Wine Resort offers both rooms and suites with an elegant décor. Some offer a balcony and some have a terrace. Many boast a spa bath. Homemade cakes, croissants and jams are provided every morning at breakfast, along with hot and cold beverages. The restaurant serves à-la-carte specialities and fine wines. A snack bar and BBQ facilities are also available. A 20-minute drive from the sandy beach, the property is 15 km from Salerno. Naples Airport is reachable by car in 40 minutes. A tennis court and golf club are within 15 minutes' drive of the property.
We found the initial visual impact as we approached the resort to be disappointing and nothing like the photos depicted on the hotel booking website. The rooms we were shown felt distinctly damp and uncomfortable. Our clothes felt clammy after hanging in the wardrobe overnight. The bathroom left a lot to be desired with an inadequate shower, no shower screen and, as we subsequently found out, it took so long for hot water to come through that we were on the verge of calling the owner to report it as a fault. In addition, the finish around the spa bath was extremely tatty. The final insult in the bathroom was the toilet paper dispenser which was more suited to a public lavatory. The room we stayed in was in definite need of refurbishment and there were wires coming out of the wall (presumably not live). The main bedroom, which only had a small dirty skylight and not a proper window, featured a services access panel which was sealed with dirty sellotape. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We were disappointed to find that the resort services advertised on the booking website didn't really exist. There was a restaurant which didn't open until about 8:30pm and the only way to buy a drink before that time was to walk over to the closed restaurant, knock on the door and ask whoever was working there if it was possible to buy some wine. When we asked the owner how we would be able to get a coffee etc she indicated that we find her and ask. However, given the language issues this was neither a practical nor acceptable solution. There was also no evidence of a snack bar. As part of checking in the owner took us through the breakfast process. She showed us a table that seemed to be 99% laden with Nutella related products. Unfortunately, both of us hate Nutella! When we actually turned up for breakfast we saw no evidence of the homemade cakes, croissants and jams which are supposedly provided every morning. Whilst walking around the resort there was evidence of what looked like dog mess on the paths. Whilst the owner made great efforts to understand our immediate issues and address them, the language barrier proved too much of an obstacle, even with the telephone assistance of an interpreter. However even without a language barrier I don't believe that our issues could have been addressed. On the positive side the meal we had at the restaurant was very good. Sadly, it would seem that this is a classic case of our own standards and requirements varying dramatically from those of previous reviewers of this property. We opted to leave after the first night.

Il Priorato de la Querciantica is a wonderful place with the most friendly atmosphere and hosts. The house and surroundings are very well kept and you will experience the interior decoration very contemplated and tasteful. A perfect place for recovery and a nice Italian holiday where you will get superior treatment and good advice for the local area and restaurants.

Serena spricht englisch wunderbar.
