Beautiful hotel and spa
Reviewed By R PStayed in the Lougher Suite. Lovely spacious room, very clean, roll top bath. Small bathroom with very small sink, room very warm, no air con. Instant coffee, no fridge. Beautifully decorated throughout, relaxing feel to the hotel. Food is fantastic, breakfast was delicious. You can't eat outside in the court yard which is a shame. I would return again if you could request and guarantee a particular suite and use the outdoor pool outside of spa hours, it's in a handy location for a weekend away for us.

Absolute joke of a company!
Reviewed By shereewalker78The pool has been shut for 6 months, thats fair enough, trouble sourcing parts, BUT pay me back the money owed you took back in January that you said would not be taken! 17th of January i was charged my swim monthly fee of £39.50 even though the pool was closed before Christmas for yet another reason and has been closed ever since! 6 months wait, promised wont be long, absolute rubbish! I've sent proof that money was taken 17th January and still they are fighting it! I know I am NOT the first person you have done this to! The health suite staff are very nice, unfortunately the accounts department & people who tend to the social media accounts have the worse attitudes, very very rude and quite frankly shouldn't be allowed to have any contact with public! I hope the owner of Miskin Manor actually look into some of the messages the send! Appalling I am now in process of taking this further, absolute joke of a company!

Greedy company and appalling customer service.
Reviewed By Fearless740267On Saturday 28th , my son and I travelled to Cardiff for a trampoline competition, unfortunately the journey was horrendous as Ed Sheeran was playing Cardiff and the M4 was blocked. We needed to be near the indoor arena where the competition was being held as we had an early start on Sunday so I paid the exorbitant sum of £219 for a very basic room, for the convenience. This room I can get for around £90 on June 10th At 4.30pm, to receive a call whilst driving, to be told that I was being moved 9.8 miles away from Cardiff M4 hotel, as my room was not available was not acceptable. The receptionist even had to text me the postcode on her own phone as I couldn't write it down whilst driving. Clearly Travelodge was maximising on the fact that Ed Sheeran was playing in Cardiff, but how can the company justify a £131 hike? I could not speak to anyone but the receptionist and the complaints form is very well hidden in their website. I did eventually find it and wrote in twice. It has taken them 10 days to acknowledge my complaint and then they have said that there is a condition in the small print that says that this can be done. It seem very suspicious that my room had to have essential maintenance on it, on one of the busiest days of the year in Cardiff. The company is in my opinion, shocking, they clearly had double booked me and were maximising on this. I would not like this to happen to anyone else.

Haveli hotel is situated in the heart of the business parks of Pontyclun, 10 minutes from Cardiff and 15 ,minutes from Swansea , this hotel is perfect if you are working in the area. Local to the M4, Having being so close to Cardiff and Swansea people often find themselves stopping at haveli hotel for the night. With enough space to accommodate up to 110 people once you visit haveli you will see that you have the perfect venue.
Very poor management customer service
Reviewed By Mansel NProbably one of the worst places we have stayed in. Let me set the scene. We travelled about 180 miles to visit my 78 year old father who has been really unwell and in hospital for a long time. Myself, my wife are carers to our 30 year old son who has autism and learning difficulties. All of us exhausted. When we arrived and checked in. The young man dealing with us was really helpful and on first glance the room seemed ok. I’m fully aware that you get what you pay for but when you pay for something and not get it in full then I challenge that. It was a 3 person room with double and single bed. There was only 1 pillow per person and incredibly thin. We asked for an additional 3 pillows but the lad could only find 1. Literally these pillows were about 2 inches thick. We then tried to run a bath and hardly any water left the tap. The young lad looked into it but nothing could be done at 9.30pm. We explained we were ok to have a shower but our son can only bath as he has difficulty with co-ordination. We asked if we could move to another room. He explained there wasn’t one, but if we wanted to leave, we could get a full refund. We explained we are only staying 1 night, so we would have to make do, but would like to discuss the possibility of a reduction in the cost next morning. Meanwhile the lad came back to ask if I could speak with the manager in the office. Up to this point we had been handled very well and we were being quite understanding of circumstances beyond the lad’s control. So the manager seemed to be very put out that I requested a reduction in the bill. He wouldn’t stop saying he will refund me and we can go elsewhere. I said “where!”, it was after 9.30pm we were very tired and where could we go when around Llantrisant there are only about 5 hotels. He then said that as a 2 star hotel we should accept the bath may not work. I then reminded him that any accommodation that says it has a bathroom, you would at least expect the bath to work. I said I would normally accept this, but as we are with my son, he finds it easier to sit and wash, due to disability. The manager then blamed me for not telling them upfront that a person with disability would be visiting. I told him it was none of his business for us to tell him that on booking, unless we had concerns. We had in fact called that morning telling them about our son to make sure the single bed was adult size and not a child size bed. We certainly didn’t think we would need to phone ahead to see if the bath is working. The manager kept going on about us leaving and go elsewhere with a refund. He said he’d look for a place. I challenged him to do that and apparently, he came up with one, saying you will have to pay more, but didn’t show me the details. I ended up telling him to forget about any refund, I was very tired and I will note it all in the feedback. He then got really angry and said I was blackmailing him for a free bill. I was only looking for a 5-10% good will gesture, which would have been less than £10. He then asked me if my family would leave tonight. Meaning he was happy to throw out a disabled young man and his 2 carers. I ignored him and said goodnight and went back to my room. We stayed the night. The pillows were awful almost non-existent in supporting your head. We all had to fold them over. Half the channels on the TV didn’t work as the TV had very poor aerial reception. Was it worth me complaining about the TV, probably not, given the manager had just verbally tried to oust us. Ironically - the best thing about this place was the poor night’s sleep, as we were out by 7am and back home before lunch.

Lovely hotel hidden away but still easy to access.
Reviewed By J MWhat a hidden gem! We were looking for a place to stay for a last minute visit to Cardiff, managed to get a couple of rooms here for over £100 less than the next options in the area. The quality did not reflect the lower cost, everything was clean and well maintained, the staff were incredibly friendly and so welcoming. The breakfast was tasty and presented in a bright and comfortable environment. Will definitely be recommending this hotel.
