An excellent stop on the road
Reviewed By Aragorn_tripWe stopped at this maison d'hôtes for a night on our way back to Barcelona, and we were surprised by the kindness and excellent treatment dispensed by our hosts. To start with, we were given an extra room to feet better, with no extra expenses at all. Both rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and a completely equipped bathroom. Our hosts also granted us with a wellcome drink, which turned out almost a complete dinner! The next morning we could taste a delicious breakfast with crêpes and homemade marmalades. Just perfect to get ready to hit back the road!

What a pleasure to also find an unpretentious bistro serving good quality food just a few yards from our moored boat. Good friendly service, varied menu with super fresh seafood and reasonably priced, quality local wines. What more do you need?

Dream night under the stars
Reviewed By Tang010No regret having made the trip from far away to experience Chrysalide. Imagine your 5 star suite as a bubble on a platform in unspoiled French countryside. Nature and Luxury mixed in an unpretentious way. We were warmly welcomed by Jean-Baptiste, the Owner of this atypical Ecotourism experience. After some Champagne glasses, our masseur gave us an unforgettable relaxing moment under the foliage, soothed by his hands, the breeze and the birds around us, while my wife enjoyed the jacuzzi. We declined the offer of dining with candlelights to visit one of the nearby restaurants. We fell asleep gazing at the stars from our super comfortable bed. We will surely return and recommend this experience to Couples, Families with kids or even Grand Parents with their grandchildren. Spend one or a couple of nights. Nerac has plenty to offer and if your wallet allows you will be in for a treat.

The property consists of three old buildings which form a harmonious ensemble full of character: (1)two 13th. century shops converted into a dwelling and linked to (2)an old bourgeois house converted to a furnished hotel in the 19th. century and recently transformed into 4 bed and breakfast rooms and(3)the living area and the tower of a 16th. century mansion house fitted out as a small furnished studio and a charming B&B room with a panoramic view of the old town of Nérac and the River Baïse. Summer kitchen facilities available in the courtyard for outside dining. A haven of peace in the historical centre of Nérac

Reviewed By PutihWe stayed 3 nights for near-by wedding. We enjoyed very good room with excellent French breakfast. Most convenient location with plenty of free parking very close. Isobel is excellent host. Highly recommended.
