Perfect pre-ski stopover
Reviewed By KevinR734We weren't sure what to expect - but were pleasantly surprised! This was a perfect stopover before our first day's skiing in Val Thorens, Room was fine, well equipped, and location great. The only negative was that the bin hadn't been emptied!

Our rooms feature comfortable bedding, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Every morning you can enjoy a buffet breakfast at will with sweet and savory products (bread, pastries, jams, cereals, cold meats, scrambled eggs, fruit juice, ...) After your day you can relax in our lounge area with a pool table and a big screen TV or with a drink in our bar.
Absolutely appalling

We have paid €350 euro on booking.com for two rooms with breakfast included…except we leave at 7am and they refuse to serve us breakfast before 7.3am! And now they say I haven’t paid for breakfast so won’t refund me even though I have paid over €350 for 1 night. Room is an absolutely disgrace. Can’t even fit our bags in. This hotel is a dump. Photos are not realistic.

Rude and overpriced
Reviewed By X7450NTleebWe went to the Auberge for a drink and ice cream. Right away the waiter told us they have better things to do than serve ice cream when it's so busy. Only 6 tables were occupied and it was half past five in the afternoon. When the drinks were brought we had to pay right away. Usually not a problem, but the tone was so unacceptably rude. Our change (more than 5 euro) was give in the form of 20 cent coins. No excuse, not a single friendly word. Besides that, the drinks are more expensive than in Paris. An ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice was 6 euros.

Would like to have stayed longer!
Reviewed By micklawzThis is a lovely, friendly hotel. We stopped here for 1 night as were passing through en route to Italy. If we had more time we would have stayed longer. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and speak excellent English. We paid for breakfast which was the usual continental and very nice. Parking on site is free as is the WiFi. Great location in heart of town and opposite the train station. In the current climate with Covid, the staff here are going above and beyond to ensure safety. This hotel is excellent value for money I would highly recommend.

Almost impossible to get back refund I was entitled to
Reviewed By PoniesnpuppiesI did not get to stay at this property due to location and date changes of holiday plans. They took all the payment upfront which they were entitled to do under the terms of the reservation. However, I cancelled early on and also under the terms they were to refund within 30 or so days. 30 + days passed and no refund. I sent them an email request in English. No response, ever. A few days later I sent them an email request in French. Also, no response. Ever. It was not until I launched a formal complaint through Booking.com that I finally got the money back, and that process itself took some time. In the end I had to provide the proof that the money had been taken out of my account. Wish I'd paid more attention to the reviews here on TA before I booked on Booking.com. However Booking.com were fantastically helpful in this situation.
