Seems this place has two TripAdvisor accounts so only fair. I think its a decent place, the room was nice but not a garden view (room 1) unless you look past the carpark to the left. Breakfast was nice, but the staff behind the bar domt smile, and the bar prices are bonkers for a pub in Cheshire (is Malpas that special?) You can charge more than London?. All in all for what I paid for the room I feel a little bit underwhelmed. I probably wont stay again sadly.

This is an interesting old building housing a pub with rooms. It is 0.5km off the best part of the Sandstone trail. The staff are lovely, the food is good (especially breakfast) and it is reasonably priced. No hestitation in highly recommending it to walkers

Attractive bed and breakfast in beautiful rural location only five miles from the Wrexham Industrial Estate. Airports of Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham all approx one hour by road. We welcome visitors to historic Chester, Shrewsbury and the market towns of Wrexham and Whitchurch. Perfect for cyclists, walkers and race-goers to Bangor on Dee (3 miles).
My partner and i stayed for 2 nights last weekend for a friend's christening in Whitchurch. Kate welcomed us with tea, coffee and biscuits which we had sitting in the sun in her lovely gardens. We stayed im the double room with a large bathroom and gorgeous views, we had use of the guest lounge and the grounds. The bed was very comfy. There is ample parking in a lovely rural setting although not far from lots of different attractions. The local taxi company kate put us onto where amazing as well. Every morning kate cooked myself an extremely nice veggie breakfast and my partner a full English. Nothing was too much trouble. All in all a rare gem of a bnb and we will both stay here again when visiting next time.

Sally and her family were very accommodating. As a couple with a two year old daughter there was plenty of toy tractors, swings to play on. Feeding the animals was an option one morning and Sally was happy let us join her feeding the animals in the morning.

Charming farmhouse set in lovely grounds close to the Bickerton Hills, Cholmondeley Castle and the Sandstone Trail. Convenient for Chester and North Wales, Fishing available nearby. En-suite rooms.
Warmly welcomed by the proprietor, who offered some fresh milk to make a well earned cuppa after our long journey, before showing us to our very quaint accommodation. Our group comprised of three couples and all of our rooms were wonderfully furnished and included tea making facilities. Our room even had a well equipped kitchen and fridge. We all slept well and woke to a beautiful crisp frosty morning with a fabulous sunrise, then enjoyed a full English breakfast within the main house. The sausages were delicious and deserve special mention and were also gluten free, along with the rest of the breakfast. As a coeliac I did bring my own bread rolls however the chef confirmed everything else was fine for me, which was reassuring. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again when we are next in the area.
