Easy access to shops and restaurants in Lisse and Keukenhoff and the Farmers Market on the weekend was wonderful. Lots of night life, especially since I was there the week of the Tulip Festival. I suspect at other times it's generally a quiet area. Comfortable suite with a convenient kitchenette with coffees and teas and a refrigerator with colas. Really nice. Lovely staff. I travel light, so walking my luggage up the steps was not a problem. There's no elevator, so be mindful of that.

Hotel de Lis is situated in the heart of the flower bulb area, 20 minutes drive from Amsterdam Schiphol airport, close to the beach of Noordwijk (9km), and near Amsterdam, Leiden en Haarlem. On walking distance from the entrance of the Keukenhof Gardens (8min), the perfect spot for a holiday, other leisure or business stay-over. We hope to see you soon.

Reviewed By fibonacci79I would like to express my appreciation for the quality of the service I received at the Hotel de Duif staff during my recent stay. The entire staff was so kind in their ways and truly made me feel welcomed. Special thanks to Celine, Marian, Bianca, Tim and Ingrid, and all those I cannot recall their names. What a great team. Location is just the best one could have: just a 10 min walk from Keuhenhof. Restaurants are a few steps away, as well as the city center and bus stops. Years ago I worked in the hospitality industry and I can tell by experience this is not an easy business and can be extremely challenging as its main core is to deal with guests (oh, guests...). Hotel properties are quite similar regardless of which brand one may choose, and what makes the difference from one to another is definitely their staff. As a seasoned traveler who has stayed in all sorts of accommodations - from the cheapest hostels to top 5-stars properties, I can tell that the Hotel staff who provides the service is what defines the guest experience. I am very much looking forward to my next stay at the Hotel de Duif. The fact that I know I will stay at a property where I feel at home makes all the difference. Thank you so much for making this such a special experience.

Arrived to a very warm welcome, ate lunch then Went up to our rooms which were clean, fresh comfy & well maintained. They had everything needed & were modern. I had wondered if they'd be noisy being on a busy ish rd but it was fine & quiet rd at night. We both slept well both nights. The food in the restaurant & bsr was excellent & brrakfast was great too. The warmth, hospitality & cheerful staff were the real joy of this gem. They will do anything they can go help and are nice people. Thanks for a great stay de engel we we'll be back.

Reviewed By gitte90After a visit to Keukenhof we went there for lunch with friends. We had the flower menu - all very delicious. Service was also good. Absolutely worth a visit in the Center of the small town Lisse, wich is much nicer, than it appears when you arrive.

Reviewed By Tink1234We spent Easter weekend at this charming B&B and it was absolutely wonderful. The house is right in the middle of tulips fields and an easy 15 - 20 min walk and an even easier 5 min bike from Lisse all on bike paths. It was also super-close to the lovely Keukenhof - maybe a 7 min bike ride. The innkeepers clearly love their job and their breakfasts put in baskets for us to enjoy any time were such a treat. I have never seen this layout at a B&B before, but the three rooms shared a little kitchen complete with stove top, coffee maker and fridge. Brilliant! The beds were comfortable, the private ensuite bathrooms very new and the house itself both charming and modern. On top of all that, it was incredibly reasonable. You can't go wrong here - don't hesitate to book!
