Absolutely incredible week staying here! The food, rooms and other facilities are all 10/10. Lots to do and see on site, a real fun and unique place perfect base to go into Köln and other towns. Thank you to Monika, Gary and the team for a perfect holiday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed at this hotel - restaurant during our trip in Rheinland - Pfalz. We found it on the internet and thought it very authentic and cosy. The outside of the hotel looks very old and the restaurant continues in this style. When you go up to the rooms, you see how they tried to keep the authentic character of the rooms: the ceilings are very low, the floor creaks and the windows are pretty small. But you get a good feeling of how it must have been some 300 years ago. Breakfast was superbe actually: we were served at the table and got 'brötchen', eggs, cheese, ham, marmelade, butter, fresh orange juice and coffee. The hotel is very good situated: near the Rhine and the train station. A nice stay, but if you like luxury you'll have to choose an other hotel. P.S. The hotel has an excellent ice sallon ;-)

Although the hotel is looking very nice, there is a good breakfast, has free although limited parking and a decent restaurant, there were a few things which made our stay less then relaxing. We had a standard room, which is facing the railtrack. And there are trains running close to all night long, making it impossible to leave your window open at night for some fresh air. Which is something you like as there is no airconditiong in the room. Next to that, we found our room not to be clean: we found hairs on the carpet when we first entered the room, next to a lot of dust on the mirror. What a pity!

I've brought school groups here 4 times. The good points are: very kind owner and staff; spacious garden and huge hall at our disposal; good food; clean; cotton sheets; Linz centre with cafés etc just a ten minute walk away; excellent location. It's not luxury, but it's a very enjoyable hotel to visit. The owner was really helpful when we needed some medical help three years ago.
