Poor cleanliness

Taps not fixed to the bath properly so move when you turn the shower on and duvet cover was stained with multiple other stains on the duvet. Spoke to the man on the reception desk, who apologied and gave us a replacement duvet cover to change ourselves. But by the time I was back from reception for the 2nd time, we only then noticed the stained duvet cover. And with 2 young children who we needed to get to sleep, me and my partner just left the duvet on the floor and slept without it. Mattress quality can only be described as like sleeping on soggy cardboard

Don’t bother
Reviewed By jessiePDFAwful dirty place, unfriendly and just grim. The bathroom had layers of mould and grime- very unclean. The staff were slow and busy moaning. Two meals ordered- both had a hair in them! ? The sheets were clean, but the place could do so much more. It’s a real gem of history. The train line outside our window kept me awake most of the night.

Stayed for Harry Potter tour
Reviewed By Finz92Stayed for two nights. The bar/restaurant is very nice, food was fantastic. Room is very dated, only one towel so I had to dry myself with a hand towel. There is also a door that leads to the next room which was unlocked (both doors) so someone could have easily have walked it if we hadn't had noticed it. The facilities were decent, good running hot water in the shower but the bed was very uncomfortable, the side I slept on had a big dip in it. The lady on the reception desk was very kind and apologetic about the door and towel issues, she did sort the door issue promptly but we did have ask three times for a towel and still didn't get it. The free Wi-Fi is very good, me and my wife were both streaming at the same time with no issues, we didn't have Wi-Fi for the second night due to technical issues which was disappointing but I guess it couldn't be helped.
