Good buffet style breakfast (included), nice room with a lot of wood interieur, TV, free WLan Romantic Biergarten-Restaurant . You have to make a reservation - always busy. Bottle of regional Devon Riesling, dry , very good € 21,50 Wiener Schnitzel € 13,80 Gefillte Klies (dumplings filled with Leberwurst & Meat) in red wine-bacon-sauce - excellent! A must! € 12,50 After dinner a Ketten-Fett-Liquor is perfect.A black licorice

Great place but miserably cold rooms
Reviewed By out-to-sea1959Beautiful area and very nice staff. My biggest problem was the rooms were only heated a few hours per day. The outside temperatures were in the 40's (7c) and the room was miserably cold more often than not. They saved a little in heating cost but lost a return customer.

Great choice
Reviewed By aierimrI stayed in this hotel for one night and it was a very nice experience. Even if I arrived late at night, they left the key in a box with a code and even we found a parking spot right in front of the hotel. The room had a good size, very nice and the most important, very clean. I did not use the common areas even if they looked very nice as well. The hotel is 10min drive to Mörsdorf and the Geierlay Suspension Bridge. I would definetly reccomend this hotel!

Ich kann es nur empfehlen dort vorbei zu schauen. Man wird dort herzlich empfangen und kann schöne, entspannte Abende dort verbringen. Ich bin begeistert.

Reviewed By Staedtereisender1Wir waren in Kastellaun und haben uns das Hotel angeschaut Im Erdgeschoss waren augenscheinlich Asylanten untergebracht es roch im ganzen Haus undefiniert die Betten sahen aus wie mit Brettern selbst gezimmert im Dachgeschoss war auch ein Asylant untergebracht der die dortige Küche benutzt die total verdreckt war

Decent family run hotel

The hotel is family run and a little old fashioned in some ways (no glass and chrome), but it has character and a certain charm. The small staff are courteous if a little reserved (not uncommon in this part of Germany, I understand, where there is still a certain formality), but everyone was kind and concerned that I was comfortable. The little town with it's historic centre is about 8 minutes walk and has a selection of restaurants. Breakfast is average for Germany (no fry-ups!) and the hotel is clean and quiet. Although I do not choose to stay here (it's where the breakdown company found), I'd be happy to stay again.
