I'm going to write basically the same review, but across a few different platforms, so if you see this review on google or on the restaurant page for De Prins, it's real. I'm a former tourism professional and I know the value of a good review. I booked a room here last minute when my partner and I decided to take a kayaking trip through Gelderand. When I was booking the reservation, the woman asked if we would take breakfast with our room (a service for hotel guests). We're both vegan and when I told this to her on the phone, she said they could accommodate us without a problem. She was also very patient with my slow and probably difficult to understand Dutch. Of course, everyone here speaks better English than I speak Dutch, but I'm really trying to learn and they were all really kind about it. We arrived by kayak for our reservation. There is a little kayak "dock" in front of the hotel. There is also a place nearby where you can store the kayaks securely. We decided last minute (again), to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. They were totally prepared for us. The level of culinary expertise and artistry was really refreshing. I used to be a chef and I can tell when someone is cooking because they love it. Whoever cooked our food really loves what they're doing. Our vegan meal was delicious and they whipped up a very impressive dessert for us. I'm sorry that I didn't take any photos. We slept very soundly in our room overlooking the river (Willem 2) and the next morning, had a huge breakfast featuring so much fruit, homemade hummus, veggies, homemade bread and a sort of roasted tomato/red pepper spread. It was all excellent. Do yourself a favor and go to Buren, which is charming town, and stay at this gem of a B&B/hotel. Or, at the very least, have a borrel there.

Mooie grote tafel buiten. Kamers zijn heel ruim. Ietsje kaal wat meubilair betreft. Prima doucheruimte
