Located at the pristine Binh Minh beach south of Hoi An, Hoi An Bliss Resort owns an extremely quiet, isolated location with open sea views and a long, romantic coastline. At Hoi An Bliss resort, the interference of traditional old house architecture in Hoi An and classic Indochine design style brings an impressive resort space, historical colors but still extremely luxurious.
Bliss Resort is a completely new resort in Hoi An and we got to stay there for a couple of days. Everything was perfect ! The view is phenomenal, there is an infinity pool overlooking the beach, the room has nice vibes and lots of check-in spots. It is only 15minutes away from Downtown Hoi An too, so i think it is a great spot if you want to enjoy the calmness of a resort and the liveliness of a town.

We had booked Calmette Hotel, but on arriving there the hotel said they no longer accepted Booking.com bookings, and transferred us here. Hotel seemed OK. Not as good as Calmette (there is no air conditioning in the building, apart from the rooms, so the lobby is hot and uncomfortable), but acceptable. The receptionist took a while to find our booking, then told us we had been upgraded. Not sure what the upgrading was because my daughter's room overlooked a wall, while my room didn't have a proper shower - instead I had to cope with a handheld spray. What on Earth are the lower grade rooms like? Given that there are only two rooms on each floor, which must be the same all the way up, and we had both rooms on the second floor, I assume that either the back room with a view of a wall or the front room with no proper shower must count as the superior room. Whatever. When it came to using the safe, my daughter set off the alarm in hers twice because the instructions are unclear, and I also had to fetch the receptionist for mine because mine was locked. The receptionist unlocked it using the pass key, and reset the code by pressing a button inside the safe. Then closed the safe and asked me to enter my own code. I pointed out to her that I couldn't do that because it was closed, I didn't know her code, and to reset it the door needed to be open. I pointed out the instructions on the safe, which said to leave the door open. She then entered her code (which I noted as 12345) and left the door open for me, then said "Can I go now?" Afterwards I found different instructions on a laminated sheet in a drawer, which said to unlock the safe by using the code 1234. Confusing! Why have two different sets of instructions? And why not be consistent with the code? Anyway, that evening while sitting at the desk I started to get bitten on my feet, so I put on socks to protect my feet. My daughter, in the morning, had bites on both sides of her face, both of them in a line upwards, classic of bed bugs. I informed the hotel of the bugs over a week ago, but have had no response from them. Bed bugs can occur anywhere, but that there were bugs in two different rooms, and that the hotel hasn't responded to my communication is not encouraging. The combination of bed bugs, poor shower, awkward safe, no air-conditioning in the lobby, and staff who seemed less than efficient leads me to give this place a poor rating.

Nice and cozy place in the centre of the Bui Vien street, where everything is happening, nice and easy to get keys and directions, no problems............ Bed was comfortable ................ Affordable
