Stayed here as we reserved at their 1* restaurant, which is about 200m away. The cottage is very cute and the gardens face a field so no peering eyes. We were kindly upgraded to one with a jacuzzi bath by the hostess as it was the heatwave and there was no AC. Pros: - Quiet, romantic spot - Nice garden for exclusive use by ground floor rooms - Very comfortable bed and good linens - Nice bath - Fantastic, copious breakfast Cons: - Cracks in the old tile floor so ants (and flying ants) came flooding out at night. The hostess was very apologetic and gave us a spray but there were ants/flies on the bed and walls - No AC so perhaps avoid during a heatwave Would stay again if in the area.

Reviewing the food experience. We planned a stop at this charming village, while on our way to Caen. We luncheoned at the courtyard eatery. Greeted warmly by the staff who explained that only local produce was on the menu. So we drank apple juice and sparking pear juice. Dined on charcuterie and scallops. Presented beautifully and nice and tasty.

The finishes in our room were superb. Breakfast was delicious. The town is very pretty, although dining options are limited. The only negative was that when I came to pay I was told we had been put in the best room, rather than the one I had reserved, so the cost was higher than expected. My French is not good enough to argue the point so just be aware.
