The hotel itself is nice but THE FOOD !!! My god, the chefs organic burger and the accompanying spiced potato wedges are something else. By far the best burger I’ve ever eaten, seriously. The mixed salad was supreme and beats anything Austria has to offer too. Absolute sensational and worth coming just to eat. The whole menu looks amazing. Will be back again for sure.

I came here on a business trip - the location was very convenient for me. The rooms are ok, a bit old in style. Cleanliness was ok. The internet / WLAN is very unstable, basically unusuable. The reception was quite incompetent, not knowing about local traffic/events or their own WLAN (probably new hire). Breakfast is weak, I only liked the cake. However, dinner is really good, local food (I had deer).

A little bit late but, better than never. Was here October 2019, the weather was unexpectedly warm, where we could sunbathe outside by the pools. Everything we experienced was super, the place, the spa, and the food was out of this world, in quality and variety. Staff were great. If there is a downside, it would be that once you have paid, you no longer exist for the reception staff. Our earlier booked taxi had the driver ignored by reception while we were waiting for it, though there appears to be an issue with the hotel and this taxi service...and perhaps pay, when you are actually about to depart the hotel.. It spoiled the overall experience, however, it is a brilliant place.

Nice little restaurant across from our hotel, family run (owner-chef, her son served our table), very friendly, great fresh little mixed salad with meal. We would consider staying there in future . Location is about a 20 minute bus ride outside of Salzburg, (bus 21) , so if you stay there , bus stop right there. Would suggest the Salzburg card which gives you access to public buses, admission entry into all tourist sites, and also use of washrooms (since you have to pay for the public washrooms).

The hotel is situated just outside Salzburg on a little hill which offers a nice view over the city. The hotel markets itself as a 4-star hotel but I would expect more with that rating. We stayed for 2 nights and the hotel feels like it could use some updating. I oozes “old time feeling” which I assume they want that but you can still have a nice standard, attention to details and good looking rooms and still make it look old. All in all I would expect more from a 4-star establishment and I would rather rate this a 3-star establishment. In any case it was a good stop for 2 nights but I would not recommend staying longer than that.

I booked this for myself and my daughter as a 1 night base to visit Salzburg. It is nowhere near...its in the middle of nowhere. It is essentially a large house full of youngsters and we didn't feel comfortable at all. There were 2 wrt towels left for me on my bed 1 under and 1 on top of the duvet so my duvet was damp. Worst of all there are no curtains! Directly outside the doors/ Windows is a shared balcony do anyone can stand out and look into your room at any time. It was awful and we had to keep going to the toilet to get changed. At 5am the bright blazing sun burst through the windows waking us up, with no chance of getting back to sleep. We got out of there as quick as we could.
