Cheap and cheerful. I’ve stayed in Alfreton dozens of time over the years when having training at Slimming World Head Office and usually at Holiday inn or premier Inn but was on a tighter budget this time. I slept the best I’ve ever slept here. Room was clean and tidy. Plenty of parking. There’s a petrol station with a subway in walking distance and a Greg’s and Burger King on site too. Wifi was super quick too

Sitting in the middle of stunning Derbyshire countryside, The White Hart Inn is a classic English inn given a swirl of modernity thanks to a recent renovation. Reclaimed brick and stone walls with solid oak beams mean the original character of the building has stayed intact but expect plenty of 21st century touches. Bedrooms feature stylish fabrics with on-trend wallpapers, crisp white bed linens and chic scatter cushions. Downstairs the welcoming wood-panelled bar serves real ales, cocktails and everything in between while the restaurant dishes up homemade meals using locally-sourced ingredients.
Another enjoyable stay in this lovely hotel Comfortable room, great food and service especially at breakfast served by Mia ! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Would definitely recommend this stunning place set in beautiful surroundings for a complete break from routine.

We hired the tap room for a family party. Tia was great in helping with the booking and the bar staff were great on the night. We tried plenty of the delicious cocktails! The food was tasty and so plentiful. There was so much left it was boxed up and fed us all the next day too! Thank you for making our party a great one :)

Alfreton's most charming, wedding, conference & hotel venue, is now open and available following a multi-million pound investment by Genesis Social Enterprise in 2006. Originally the residence of the Morewood family dating from 1725, Alfreton Hall has been restored to its former glory, reclaiming its place as Alfreton's finest venue. Located on the boarder of Alfreton Park, this historic property is perfectly placed only minutes from local amenities, junction 28 and ideally situated for visits to Chatsworth House. 8 individually designed bedrooms are completely unique, ranging from elegant to grand and gorgeous. Renowned for hosting magical weddings, vintage afternoon teas and stress free conferencing; we always look forward to welcoming friends of new and old.
We didn’t stay here but came as a family for an afternoon gathering. There were about 25 of us. There was a large buffet laid out and we think it must have been laid out for a while. The food was dreadful. Dry sandwiches, dry sausage rolls, stale scones, strange large open rolls, and warm Bucks Fizz. The venue was nice but the food definitely wasn’t. We still had a great family gathering.

Took a day trip to explore the peaks and booked an overnight stay here with my husband and 3 children. We packed up and left at 11pm doe to the god awful noise coming from what can only be described as a nightclub next door. This wasn’t advertised nor any warning that the noise levels were going to be horrendous! It advertises as luxurious rooms with en suite but what you are really getting are basic contractor rooms where you can here everyone coming and going. At 10pm just as we managed to settle the baby, the pub decides to turn the music up full notch! Says it’s child friendly but clearly not. Never again
