Sarnfaen is a family run holiday park in Snowdonia National Park just a short walk from Talybont beach. We will offer you and your family a truly memorable holiday experience. The park is 4 star Welsh Assembly graded offering quality and excellent service. Luxury holiday homes with their own patio area or enclosed decking set in landscaped gardens where you can relax and enjoy the view. We have a new Leisure Centre for 2016 with Indoor Swimming for adults and toddlers, spa, sauna, steam room and gym. There is also a café serving breakfasts and light lunches for our guests. Wifi is also available around the park and in our hired holiday homes and lodges.
Really great site quiet and well kept. However we were very disappointed with one member of staff firstly in the cafe when we ordered food. We found her very abrupt in the way she spoke to us when we ordered food in the cafe.We took this every one has an off day However when we went to the reception to ask about swimming she was agin abrupt even her colleague looked embarrassed by her manner. Her name began with L. Another member of staff Heather was totally the opposite friendly welcoming and helpful she was a credit to the holiday park. Sorry to have to write this but reading the other reviews I wonder if it’s the same member of staff that hasn’t improved her customer service skills

Excellent facility spotlessly clean shower and toilet block. Beautiful views. Nice evening walks. Very nice hosts always happy to help. Anything you need a phone call away. Peaceful surroundings. Great for tents and caravans. The pods were awesome clean warm and tidy. Great experience

We arrived here in our Motorhome for a three night stay, at first being a little surprised as no one was in the Reception and we had to walk back to one of their sister sites to register. Key deposit was £20 cash, which we only had by chance as we do not make a point of carrying cash these days, so bear this in mind. (Thought the cost a bit hefty!) We were shown to our site which was more than adequate. Toilet and shower facilities were excellent, site is clean, tidy and accommodates all levels, we were a mature couple but there were a lot of families there, as there are plenty of restaurants, cafe's, arcades etc. just down the road, on the way to the beach. We went outside of school holidays and imagine it would be very busy. Great beach, plenty of walks. The surprise for us was the train station! It is the main line from Pwllheli to Birmingham. It stops (by request) at all the small stations with Barmouth town being just two stops East. Fares are only about five pounds return. We also met people that had gone for the day to Pwllheli, Harlech and apart from Barmouth we went to Pensarn and a 15 minutes walk to the local Slate Mine which was excellent. Would recommend this site.

Really excellent 'basic' campsite. A few minutes walk from the beach which the teenagers loved. The field we stayed on was quiet and the campsite owner was friendly, helpful and always pleasant ensuring everyone had what they needed - (eg a family came with small children and their phones were dead so he charged them and then came back to the site late evening to ensure the family were ok). There were no working showers, which we were informed of before arriving and we used the public toilets next to the beach which were cleaned daily. Local amenities could be found on the adjacent campsite, which was a 5 min walk away, giving us access to a park, chip shop and local shop etc. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and although we saw him daily, he was usually busy with maintenance, but always free to have a conversation if engaged. I would recommend this site for anyone who wants a quiet, tranquil break.

Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was lovely we had a view of the Welsh mountains and for some unfortunate reason an abandoned caravan tipped upright in a field which we got use to ignoring. We tried the swimming pool for adults only swim, it was lovely and warm. We tried the fish and chip shop which was ok but not great. The shop was stocked well for a few forgotten items. We went to the cafe but we didn't stay because it was a little expensive. The bar was nice, the outside space was lovely with cushioned chairs which we used a lot of the time as it was so relaxing looking out to sea, the drinks weren't expensive at all. We only went to the entertainment once during our week, it was good and everyone was enjoying themselves. The pool tables were a let down with tipless cues and no chalk. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back but hoping for a sea view caravan next time, although we were situated well for people watching ? All in all we would recommend this site and being right on the beach is a bonus, but the beaches round and about especially Harlech are amazing

Linda and Maurice were friendly and helpful, showed us, gave a choice of where to pitch. Large area to set up in and great for kids to play/ run around. About. 10 min walk to the beach, and arelief to go to in the evening as was very hot the week we stayed. Close also to Takeaways/clubhouse. Close to most areas ie Barmouth,Harlech castle and only an hour away from Snowdon, Beaumaris, Conwy and Canofen castles which are a must to visit. Will definitely stay at Dalar farm again with the chickens ramong free was a lovely and relaxed holiday
