Honestly had no idea this was in Waco until we had folks from out of town want to do a day trip to Magnolia. Arrived around 4:15 and caught the last tour (4:30). Guide was friendly and informative. The monument is essentially a dig site with a structure around it to protect from the elements. Does not take long to see and appreciate the spot. We were glad we stopped

No matter what the age, this will keep the kids off the phones and on the edges of their seats. There is all sorts of goodness at this location, no matter your age. If you have not been - you need to go at least once. bring your ear plugs, it can get loud. but so does a foot ball game.

Homestead Heritage is an agrarian- and craft-based intentional Christian community. Its literature stresses simplicity, sustainability, self-sufficiency, cooperation, service and quality craftmanship.
The Homestead Craft Village is a unique way of life for the people who choose a self-sufficient way of living. Here you will find houses for woodworking (handcrafted furniture that is beautiful), pottery (amazing handmade items), weaving (beautiful scarves), a blacksmith shop, a grist mill (with a variety of ground corn, grits, wheat, etc.), a basket-making house, an herb shed and garden, and a delightful gift shop with items made from the different shops in the village. You can purchase finished items or some kits to make your own, soaps, how-to books for growing your own herbs, sugar scrubs, and so much more. Most of the items are pricey, but beautiful and unique nonetheless. Plan to spend several hours visiting the shops, talking with the people who are working there, and enjoying crafts that are unique to our past. It was a great afternoon!

Brazos Valley Cheese is dedicated to crafting all-natural, high quality, healthy cheese using traditional methods and no artificial flavors, preservatives or coloring. Our milk comes from grass-fed cows that graze freely on three local Brazos River Valley Jersey/Brown Swiss dairies. Every one of our cheeses is hand-made and all the hard cheeses are aged in our underground cheese cave.
What a wonderful place for real cheese! The kind that tastes like cheese and not tasteless rubber! Yes it is going to cost you more but that is what you pay for!

Enjoy a horseback ride along the rim of our limestone bluff overlooking the Brazos River valley and over scenic trails through the woods and pastures of our ranch.
Had a great time on our horse back ride! Very friendly, informative and they make you feel comfortable on the horse.
