My son and I were on a road trip from South Florida to Michigan when we happened across the W&A Railroad Tunnel Museum. We did a self-guided tour and enjoyed the train station and displays of historical railroad and Civil Wat artifacts. We walked the tunnel and (as opposed to golf cart ride), nice walk that was interesting. Only wish we had seen a CSX freight train go by during our visit. I would highly recommend this museum to those that have an interest in southern railroads and the Civil War.

Tunnel Hill preserves a railroad tunnel built in the 1850s and is a central figure in The Great Locomotive Chase, during the Civil War. Nice small museum. GREAT tour of the tunnel via electric carts. Ask for JENNIFER as your guide. I was the only one on her tour that day. She was extremely informative, and quite a polite young woman, who clearly loves her job.
