It's fall and Creekside iis gearing up for Halloween. Pumpkins everywhere. They had a monarch butterfly release recently and some of them are still hanging around. They also have apple related events. There was a swath of flowers still blooming and could could cut your own.

We went to a local restaurant in Dallas, PA and saw Nimble Hill wines on the menu. We decided to drive to Tunkhannock to taste some wines and we were not disappointed. Specifically we wanted to try the Gruner Veltliner and the Lemberger. We joined the case club immediately and went home with both varieties including their late harvest dessert wine. It was so good that we found ourselves in the area again a few weeks later and stopped by to stock up. Usually I avoid tasting rooms that advertise "wine slushies" as this one does but I'm going to have to reconsider. Nimble Hill is terrific! Oh, and they brew beer also and the beer is good too. There is a separate tasting room for that. You can have a glass, enjoy a flight or fill a growler. They also sell bottles to take out. We'll be back!

This is a great place for a family reunion or birthday party, and there's a great wine festival here each fall! Several pavilions (which book up quickly in the summer) provide shelter and shade. The red one is more centrally located and closer to the playground, the green one is closest to the creek. There's also a cute and functional hand pump near the port opotty closest to the green pavilion. The creek always has fascinating critters like crawfish and snails. It's a bit of a drop in most places getting down the embankment though, so consider good footwear, and water shoes for wading.

We're here a lot while attending a wedding in the area. The staff was rude to say the least. The waitresses who served at the reception were delightful. But, the guys working the golf course, rude! They were even rude to the bride on her wedding day

So I had a couple of cocktails and the topic of skydiving came up so the liquor talk started and I committed to going. Next day I am at Endless Mountain Skydivers to make good on big mouth. All I have to say is I’m glad I did. The staff there were friendly, professional and personable. They made us all feel welcome and appreciated our business. Their enthusiasm showed and really got us excited for the jump. They were even excited to jump. Our entire group was impressed with them. They also made us some great videos to remember the day.
