BBQ Workshop is an independent BBQ Cookery School; classes are developed and run by Jackie Weight, the only non-American Grand Champion of the Jack Daniels World BBQ Competition (considered to be the ‘Super-Bowl’ of BBQ Competitions.
A great gift experience end to end for my birthday gift. We learned how to light a BBQ in a foolproof and easy fashion. We learned about how you cook on a BBQ, without a burnt bit insight. I have been doing it so wrong, and what we were taught made so much sense!! We ate like Kings and Queens. Jackie and Dave are wonderful hosts and matched the pace of learning perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere so important at any BBQ. Our group was fabulous and I have not laughed so much in a long time. I look forward to attending the advanced session. Now to get cooking and put some of those skills to the test!! Thank you, Jackie and Dave, for a cracker of a day!!

We arrived in the car park to be greeted with a friendly welcome which When we first arrived in the car park we had a friendly greeting which was soon to become a very tense half an hour. After getting my 2 daughter's out of the car my 4 year old daughter helpfully closed the car door whilst I had my back turned to find she closed it with my bag/keys and phone all still in there and now locked, but with a small gap. I asked the kind man if he would be able to possibly help, after having a look he went off to get his colleague. With alot of effort on his part he was able to get the window down and got us all back into my car. This kindness went above and beyound and allowed us all to continue with our day out with friends and was so very much appreciated. We found the centre a fabulous day out. Incredibly good value for money as was only £5 per person for the day. The main feature was the 100+ group of Reindeer they have in the fields and also for us to meet in the barns. The animals we meet were all friendly and obviously well cared for. Speaking to another man that was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the Reindeer was very interesting. The small animal barn was fun and varied for visitors to get involved. A lovely lady named Chris was amazing with the 4 children in our group as well as afew others at the same time. She patiently allowed the children to stroke and hold a huge amount of the animals including a rabbit, duckling, bearded dragon, tortoise and snake and more. She showed the children how to hold them properly and safely. My 6 year old daughters highlight was definitely holding the snake! There was also a bouncy castle, large ball pit climbing area, sand pit play area, ride on cars and horse and carriage(another big hit!) and a small soft play area. Definitely more than enough to keep your family entertained for the whole set. A huge field with tables and chairs in for picnics was also availble. Another good touch was giving away a reindeer centre mug with your hot drink! Definitely worth a visit, before we'd even left the car park my girl's wanted to know when we could go again.
