Sheer majesty and beauty of this area cannot be denied. We spent a while here just sitting and looking, the drive around the coast from the Nobbies centre is such a beautiful drive, with several lookout spots along the way.

We choose the option for the guided ranger tour, which was an excellent option, had our own viewing platform further away from the hordes of tourists in general viewing - it is definitely worth paying a little extra if you can.. We saw large number of lovely little penguins come in out of the sea, some waddled right past our feet! very cute! The winds were absolutely freezing cold - make sure you wrap up!

An amazing lookout just past the penguin parade centre. A picturesque vista that may even include some seals

The Nobbies Centre. Only 5 minutes from the Penguin Parade this spectacular headland offers stunning ocean views from clifftop boardwalks. View the world’s largest Australian Fur Seal colony at Seal Rocks, approximately 2km offshore. Home to the exciting Antarctic Journey multimedia attraction where you can take a virtual journey to the world's most remote continent.
Be prepared to spend a bit of time at the Nobbies, such a wonderful place to visit. Make sure you come at high tide for the blow hole, sunset for the wallabies, and stay for hot chips and dessert at the cafe, really quite wonderful

This is a great beach to unwind as there is never a lot of people at this beach even in summer. as most choose the other beaches a little closer to the shops. Wild geese are often about as are wallabies. The surfing is very good too. Check tides and waves before you come is always a good idea.

Water levels were pretty low and there wasn't a lot of bird activity when we were there late morning, but this is a great facility that provides plenty to look at if you are a keen or not so keen birdwatcher. Cape Barren geese with chicks were a metre away from the boardwalk and the two hides provide a sheltered and quiet spot for gazing out over the lake. The track in is well maintained and fairly level and just a 10 minute walk gets you there.
