Senica (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈseɲitsa]; German: Senitz; Hungarian: Szenice) is a town in Trnava Region, western Slovakia. It is located in the north-eastern part of the Záhorie lowland, close to the Little Carpathians.

I seek out these small town castle ruins in my travels. Some are over restored, some become touristy. This one was above the town, a place where locals might take a local short hike and clear their head. There wasn't anyone but myself at the top! Incredible views, and not over restored. The town should be proud of the monument they are preserving.
The Zagorian gallery in Senica does not have a permanent exhibition, but professionally and methodically manages the Gallery of Julius Koreszek in Skalica, founded in 1991. Here is a permanent exhibition of artwork, which was re-installed in its present form in 2005 on the occasion of the centenary of the Skalice Museum.
