The church itself is kind of unremarkable, but the hypogeum is fantastic. The hypogeum was used as a water cult site in the Roman era (though the site seems to have been used similarly in the Phoenician/Punic and Nuragic periods as well) and the walls are decorated with drawings of animals, gladiators, and deities among a host of other things. I've been to a lot of Roman sites, but I've never seen anything quite like this, it is certainly quite unique. The village and church are so unassuming, it's easy to miss this gem.
