We have been coming here for five years as a couple, and I came as a solo traveler for two years before that. Spring Gathering is a chance to connect with other artists while focusing on your own project for an uninterrupted week. I’m a quilter; he’s a writer. We LOVE it here! It’s not for the luxury seeker, nor for the fussy. It’s for people who want to connect with their thoughts in the loveliest mountain surroundings imaginable.

Such a cool place! Fantastic espresso drinks..... and coffee too. Lots of excellent sweets for getting an afternoon high with your Macchiato. Friendly staff and a comfy place to sit on the front porch and enjoy

We had stopped at other "Gem Mines" and all they wanted was for you to buy a bucket and pan for your valuable rocks. This place was more than that and offered a real glimpse into the past and the mining industry. We were so happy we followed the signs to get here. It's off the beaten path a bit but don't worry, you'll be rewarded. The museum and the grounds are well worth the price of admission.
