North Channel Cruise Line

Reviewed By Cara W - Blue Mountains, Canada

Well, if I'm honest, the first time was just as amazing! Captain Chris and his crew host incredible sunset dinner cruises through the North Channel overlooking the La Cloche Mountains. Truly spectacular setting to sip wine and enjoy the company of friends. Britney, Brittany, Brad, Chris have this down to a science, and we can't wait to go again!

McLean's Mountain Lookout

Reviewed By GO-MN - Toronto, Canada

A nice plateau that lets you see all the scenery around the island, the wind turbines are an awesome display of technology but 2 different phones using cellular network/GPS, even reviewing the photos on Google and TripAdvisor couldn't help us find the exact Lookout entrance, but that aside the scenery was beautiful. As some noted the road up is quite steep, a SUV with 4WD had no issue but a FWD vehicle might have to approach the lookout from the backside where the roads up are gradual.

Honora Bay Riding Stables

Reviewed By JoelZToronto - Toronto, Canada

Went for a 2 hour ride. I am an experienced rider and my wife is a novice. Kayla took us out on a 2 hour ride and both inspired and reassured. Kayla offered much advise and horse information. She gave us a brief history of the area, her family, her horses, her philosophy of running a stable and her rules and regulations. (they were strict but need to be in this type of enterprise). The ride took us up the mountain to a great view. We climbed steep hills and went down steep roads. Kayla even had a few pointers for me, the experienced rider. I would love to go back again and do a ride at my level so we could canter and gallop. Kayla showed me the place she lets the horses gallop during the ride. It looked safe and fun. During the ride all riders must ride to the level of the weakest rider and this makes sense. My wife's horse once broke out into a brief canter and all was fine. Her confidence level rose and is interested in building upon her new skills. Kayla the owner rescues hores from slaughter. The one I was riding she said she resuced a day before her was scheduled to be transformed into dog food. It was a well trained horse with lots of spirit and obeyed my every command with ease. Kayla has 29 horses and most are used for riding. She also offers two day overnights that are reasonably priced. Would love to do this next time we are in Manitoulin.

Strawberry Island Lighthouse

This is a beautiful lighthouse but I don't believe it can be visited at this time. It is best viewed from the water though can be glimpsed from eastern Manitoulin, especially Ten Mile Point are.

Little Current Lighthouse

Reviewed By GO-MN - Toronto, Canada

If you're passing through Little Current spare 5 minutes to pass by at the local lighthouse along the boardwalk, admittedly there's not much to see but it does have a dim light and the attraction offers some photos. If anything the town needs to do some cleanup as the brush is beginning to take over the tiny building.
