Sitting just off the high Street on the Green this impressive memorial stands with floral displays behind it This 2 tier tall granite pillar has a panel on each side and each side has a separate name , Valour ,Duty ,Sacrifice and Endurance . Built in 1920 as a memorial to the 1 st world War and latterly the 2 nd World War it sits in a well kept and maintained corner plot in the towns conservation area
