We stopped by on our way back from Twin Falls. Happy we did. It’s beautiful! The museum was closed, but that was okay because we enjoyed walking around.

Kicking off the camping season with a great group of friends and the Grand Design owners group is something we look forward to every season, and The Island Crossing is the perfect place to kick it off from. The park itself is wonderful, with a covered picnic area to hold our potluck to make everyone comfortable. Walking paths are everywhere and The Crossing Winery is at the end of our favorite path. There is also a little 9-hole golf course so bring your clubs and golf amongst the deer and geese. 5 miles away are motorcycle trails and utv trails everywhere, take a ride along the actual Oregon trail and keep an eye out for antler sheds as you make your way through ridge tops with views that give you a real sense of what it was like to travel across this section of Idaho.
