A lovely little hike brings you to this temple and this is a temple revered by pilgrims and thousands of people visit this during Navaratras. The hike is small and enjoyable yet if you are not comfortable now there's a ropeway.

Being new to Indore, I wasn't aware of the place and visited on the insistence of a rickshaw driver. I'm glad I listened. It took me about 45 minutes one way by rickshaw and Rs.900 roundtrip from Vijaynagar, Indore. The connecting road was really good throughout. The temples are on a hill which can be reached through a steep clean road leading up to it. One has to walk to it and is quite doable for someone in normal health. I also noticed a ropeway later. There are two main temples and many smaller temples. I was asked to visit Goddess Tulja Bhavani first and Goddess Chamundi later and informed that its amongst the Shaktipeeth. I purchased the chunari, coconut, garland and prasad for both the goddesses at the base. It costed me Rs. 250. After visiting the temple of Goddess Tulja Bhavani I continued on the path ahead barefoot (socks) across the temple on a circular route which led me to the temple of Goddess Chamundi. On the way, there were many small yet significant temples. The respective mantras are displayed on or near the temples. A pleasant walk throughout. There weren't many people and the pujaris (clergy?!)inside the temple were helpful and respectful. There is a real sense of serenity and divinity to this hill. A must visit.

Well the thing that strikes you first about this temple is that its spread out in a large well maintained complex and architecture is very different looks inspired from southern temples. There also is a tall Hanuman statue which is very beautiful.
