Tropical Sea Kayaks

Paddle your way along the pristine Daintree National Park coastline taking a break or two to eat your freshly prepared tropical fare. Spend the rest of the kayak admiring the fabulous views of the Daintree coastline from the water, snorkelling the fringing reefs or just paddling along. There is no better way to search for turtles, dolphins and a myriad of other sealife, maybe even whales - come on in the waters fine! We are based at Crocodylus Village Cow Bay, just north of the Daintree River Ferry.

Jindalba Boardwalk

This short circuit is on an elevated boardwalk the whole circuit and takes you deep into the forest making an easy walk. However there are quite a few steps along the way but a handrail will help if you are unstable.

This is an easy visit, being right on the side of the road, with parking. A great view out to the coast and through some of the rainforest. Definitely worth a quick stop for a look and photos when traveling through the Daintree.

The Discovery Centre is a world-class ecotourism facility nestled in the heart of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic World Heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway, Cassowary Circuit, Bushtucker Trail and Jurassic Forest allow visitors to explore every level, from the forest floor to the top of the canopy. Entry includes a 68 page Guide book and Audio Guides in 8 languages, a childrens and Indigenous Audio, are a hit with all visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best!

What a great experience at the Daintree Discovery Centre! Well worth a visit and time spent! You learn all about the Daintree Rainforest and region, about the natural environment, plants, fruits and flowers, wildlife, reptiles, insects and birds and cassawary to watch out for during your self guided walk as well as during your stay in the FNQ area. Great opportunity to walk through and discover everything about a rainforest on the board walks as you ascend to the very top of the rainforest with the tower in the centre. And then to discover the dinosaurs!! Self guided audio is also well spoken and informative.
