Levante at The Stables

Reviewed By trimess - Brookfield, United States

Beer hall with local craft brews in a gorgeously restored historical stables. Wide variety of beers from Levante Brewing (with a few soft drink options, including milk/juice for kids). They don't actually sell their own food her, but have a rotating cast of local food trucks that come in every day! So every time you go the food will be different. Works, well as you can just text your order in then pick it up and bring it in to your table. We were here in March, but I would guess the outside space is also wonderful in the summer. Definitely worth stopping here!!!

The Mill at Anselma

Historic site and event venue. Nestled along the Pickering Creek in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, the Mill at Anselma is an extraordinary artifact of 250 years of Chester County’s industrial heritage. The Mill retains its original Colonial-Era power train, as well as multiple layers of industrial equipment ranging from the late 1700s to the mid 1900s. Guided tours of the Mill are offered Saturday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) April through December. The Mill at Anselma is still a fully operational grist mill that produces stone-ground Bread Flour, Pastry Flour and Dark Roasted Cornmeal. There are monthly milling demonstrations on the second Saturday of each month from April through December as well as monthly special events.

The Mill is great...when they have tours, it is cool to see how wheat, corn, etc is ground up and turned into powder/flour. Also a great place to take the kids to see Santa!!
