The price is right and their attractions are well planned and thought out. Kings Mountain National Military Park

This National Historic Site is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Important historically but now as well known as it should be, it is well worth the time to go see the Park. The visitor center is excellent and the on site ranger was exceptional! He was tremendously knowledgeable. The Battle loop trail is interesting and a worthwhile walk to see where Americans (on both sides!) fought. NOTE: there are warning signs advising that the loop is strenuous...take heed! Take the time and visit this great park!

Kings Mountain State Park

Took a day trip from Columbia. It was a Thursday and we basically had the park to ourselves. Trails are well maintained, but the trail maps are a little confusing. Post was open (unlike the Kings Mountain National Military Park) and the guy working there was very helpful.
