My wife and I visited the museum today and really enjoyed it. We were unsure as a previous reviewer mentioned that there was little English Information and so we asked at the desk before purchasing our, somewhat expensive, tickets. The lady produced an Apple device with a dedicated app for the museum and this contained translations for just about all the signs, photo captions and descriptions in the museum. This service costs nothing over the basic entry charge.
The museum itself we greatly enjoyed and despite a couple of minor glitches from the electronics (they were minor) we were able to enter fully into the story of German (with brief mentions of other nationalities) caravanning and motorhoming. Lots of exhibits and plenty of interesting pieces of camping equipment to give a real historic feel to the place - even though we recognised some of the equipment as pieces we ourselves owned at some point.
Children seemed well catered for although we were not accompanied by any on this visit.
Facilities (restaurant, toilets, small shop) were excellent and in immaculate condition.

Having been to a number of Spas (Therme) in Germany the "average" rating reflects that this facility is just that. Compared to most UK facilities of a similar nature it would probably rate better but against German establishments it is very middle of the road. Solid and pleasant without having anything out of the ordinary to recommend it.
There are three indoor pools, one is reserved for water bikes (8.50 euros extra), one is used principally for gymnastic classes (periodic and lasting around 15 minutes - no extra charge) and one is a general relaxing pool that extends outdoors. The water is at 34 degrees so very pleasant to use the various jets and bubbles. These are on a timer and you know when they are about to operate as, as if my magic, all the places become full.
There is a further external pool used for more serious swimming and this is slightly cooler (28 in summer and 30 in winter). In addition to all this there is a steam room (clothes on). This is included in the basic price (Euros 7.50 for 2 hours, 9.00 for 3 hours and 12.00 all day).
Worth a visit if you are passing through but probably not worth making a special visit for.

This attraction has an extremely impressive climbing and rope park for kids starting from 3 and above. The adult climbing and rope park is extremely exciting, with many levels and lots of fun. We started going there when the kids were three, and they love it.

The Stadtsee is smack in the middle of downtown. It is a very popular lake where people when nice weather allows it take a stroll around the lake. There is a small beach area which is very nice for children and grownups alike. Nice and cool water perfect for a swim.

The production of and cooking with Spätzle has a centuries old tradition in Swabia. If you ask any person in this region to name the most famous food of the area, he or she most likely answers “Spätzle!”
And so it is no surprise to find a museum dedicated to this typical Swabian delicacy in Bad Waldsee in Upper Swabia.
Here you will find everything about recipes and machines to produce homemade Spätzle. On the third floor is a beautiful display of evolution of the Spätzle ricer (press) and the respective inventors. The interesting part is that they have one machine of each step in the more the 100 years of development on display.
The museum is located in the Vötschenturm, a small tower that has been beautifully restored after being ruinous for many years. It is really small, but you will be amazed about the arrangement of the many exhibits they put on display with so little space at their disposal.
But still: you never have the feeling those things a crammed in. On the contrary – all exhibits and a lot of information boards are spread out in a beautiful arrangement over three floors. All information offered is in German and Swabian dialect only.
The only thing that makes it narrow is the fact that the building is so very small. But on the other hand, this is what makes it charming and cozy. If you plan a visit during high season choose the right time. Go very early or during lunch time to avoid crowds of people.
Note that it is open only on Saturdays and Sundays.
And always remember:
Spätzle are no noodles...!.

If you are interested in Baroque Architecture, this is the right place for you.
On a lazy Sunday afternoon we walked along Saint Peter’s church in Bad Waldsee. So we went inside and were surprised. It is more beautiful inside than we expected. There are many ceiling paintings and side chapels made from red marble.
From many points within Bad Waldsee the towers of the church protrude out of the skyline. When you walk through the town you sometimes wonder where it is and then suddenly you can see parts of it.
