Agaya Gangai waterfalls is 1 km walk down from the sides of the temple. The main attraction of Kolli Hills. One has to climb down (and back) 1302 steps to reach the falls. The steps are steep and can get very tiring. It takes approximately 30 mins to climb-down to the falls and 1 hr to climb-up back. Agaya Gangai waterfalls is the attraction of Kolli hills. Water falls from 300 feet of height and is an amazing view. The water falls on either the rocks or the pond like place near the rocks based on the water flow. One needs to get into the pond of water to get wet in the waterfalls. A rope is tied leading people through the pond towards the waterfalls for safety. Definitely, a great place ! We spent around 45 minutes in water. Do take snacks when you go down. Once you are out of water, you would feel hungry and need lots and lots of energy to make it back to the top across 1000+ steps !

The temple is located on the arterial road that runs through the hills, the road on which buses fly. There are regular govt bus service from Namakkal right up to the temple. The temple, named 'Thiru Araippalli', is a devara vaipputh thalam being mentioned in the poetry of Thirugnana Sambandar and Appar. 'Arai' means hill and 'palli' means temple. As per legend, the eighteen Siddhars of Tamil tradition worshiped at the temple and their idols can be found along the outer wall (mathil) of the temple. The temple is decent size with a single prakaram. Sannidhis for Muruga, Vinayaga, Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Jeshta devi, Navagraha, Bairava, Surya and Chandra can be found on the prakaram. Muruga of this temple is famous and was sung by Arunagirinathar. The main deity is Arappaleeswarar and the goddess is named Aram valartha nayagi. Standing in front of the sanctum, we can simultaneously have darshan of the lord, goddess and murugan. There is a small river that runs right next to the temple which can be reached by climbing down about 50 steps. The agaya gangai water falls, the main attraction of Kolli hills, is also formed by the same river. The entrance to the steps leading to the falls is right opposite the temple. There are several small shops around the temple that sell tea, coffee, snacks and beverages, along with local produce such as pepper, pineapple, jack fruit and millet. Overall, a highly serene temple - don't miss it.

Namakkal Sri Anjaneyar Temple is located at Namakkal in Tamilnadu state, dedicated to Lord Hanuman.’Lord Anjaneyar’ is the another name of Lord Hanuman. The name Namakkal was said to be derived from the word “Namagiri”, a single rock formation at the middle of the town. The city lies at the base of this single huge rock with an old fort on it.
