Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a natural wonder on nearly 300 acres of shorefront in mid-coast Maine. Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It's no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine's top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 April 15 - October 12. There is a cafe and gift shop on site. A visit at any time is a memorable experience.
Great way to start the Christmas season. Wear warm clothes and gloves. You need comfortable warm, walking shoes or boots. There are lots of paths to walk with wonderful Christmas lights, Fairies Houses, displays and make sure you buy the s'more kit in the snack shop and roast s'mores on a fire. They have helpers to get the job done. THERE is kettle corn, s'mores, cookies, hot chocolate and coffee, Best Buy. Popcorn is crazy. It is great kind of corny but I think bad was $9

Did the full loop walk on this beautiful trail that offers stunning views of the Maine rockbound coast. It's an easy walk with a little change in elevation. Nicely groomed and not very heavy usage added to the enjoyment.

A great place for easy hiking trails and picnics for family fun.
We very much enjoyed hiking Oven's Mouth. Lots of nice scenery along the way (the only way I will hike). There are many roots and rocks, so you need to have careful footing. We had walking sticks, and I was glad I did.

We invite you to travel back in time to vintage Vacationland with us. Nowhere else in New England can you ride the rails behind an vintage steam or diesel locomotive surrounded by historic Maine buildings preserved in a recreated village, and view a collection of 60 antique autos. When you visit the Museum you'll learn about how technologies like steam engines and the automobile changed life along the coast of Maine between 1850 and 1950. In addition to the opportunity to ride in a vintage coach behind a vintage locomotive, the Museum also occasionally offers rides in one of our Ford Model Ts. Two of our most popular attractions are the resident goats who delight visitors of all ages with their antics. From a display of hundreds of salt & pepper shakers to a collection of engines that powered everything from small boats to whole factories, there truly is something for everyone in your family here. Throughout the season a wide variety of special events are hosted on the Village Green from vintage ball games to car shows and family festivals. The Museum is also a unique location for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Located in the Visitor Center at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, the Gift Shop proudly features the work of over 85 Maine artisans alongside gardening tools, cookbooks, hats, jewelry, and more. The Shop also carries a selection of fairy-themed products perfect for the weekly "Fairy Fridays" held at the Gardens in July and August.
The gift shop is truly lovely. I love to purchase gifts for people when traveling and this was the perfect spot to select beautiful, unique gifts for friends and family. They offer books (for children and adults), beautiful t-shirts, jewelry, fruit preserves, gardening items, and they even have a fairy section.
