Visiting Sebastopol without walking up Florence Ave. is like visiting Paris without stopping by the Eiffel Tower -- don't skip it. Florence Avenue is 1/3 of a mile (.33) in length and only 3 blocks off Main Street. Most, if not all, homes on the street have a whimsical Amiot in the front yard, many of which reflect something about the resident(s). It takes less than 10 min to walk the length without stopping and the art is wonderfully clever!

The term “garagistes” originated in Bordeaux in the 1980’s and referred to a group of innovative winemakers who produced exceptional wines in their garages rather than in grand chateaux. Since 1979, we have carried on the garagistes tradition of innovation and excellance in a chateau alternative locale.Taft Street Winery continues in the garagistes traditions to this day, producing limited production, handcrafted wines from select Sonoma County vineyards. Our goals have not changed. We make great wine; make it available at a fair price; and, most of all, have fun in the process.

Emeritus is a family-run winery founded in 1999 with the goal of creating a grand-crucaliber estate program capable of making the New World’s finest Pinot Noir. To achieve this goal, Emeritus planted two remarkable dry-farmed Pinot Noir vineyards: Hallberg Ranch and Pinot Hill. Emeritus opened its idyllic tasting room amid the vine rows of the Hallberg Ranch estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley, and quickly became one of the best-kept secrets of in-the-know wine lovers. In 2017, as a reflection of the winery’s wonderful visitor experience, USA Today named Emeritus the #1 Winery Tour in the USA.
Our group of six enjoyed a tour and fabulous tasting with Bill, who regaled us with great stories about the history of the most notable vines in California, local tips on restaurants, and wine experiences, and assistance with a reservation at another winery. You will have to visit Emeritus yourself to get the whole experience and the secret local tips. Of course, the wine was delish!

They have a back room with couches and little noise compared to the regular bar area. Much more comfortable. They will also bring in food from you from many of the local restaurants nearby. Nice place to hang out with friends. They also have an outdoor area that looks like fun for the warmer months.
