I went to Leighton buzzard Brewery on Sunday 1st. They had a record sale, good selection of beers and a fabulous Indian Street food lady selling snack foods such as peas cachoori ( excuse the spelling) keema curry, cauliflower curry, chick peas, lentils and many more condiments all of which I have not tasted since visiting India. The atmosphere was relaxed and accepting of children and dogs. Well worth a visit.

Had an amazing time at Mead Open Farm. Parked up with my two year old and took our picnic with us as we didn't want to return to the car. Went straight to the playground because that's all 2 year olds want to do. Had a picnic inside because it was too hot to sit outside. Fed some very hungry sheep and goats. Daughter loved jumping on the inflatables, digging in the sand with the giant diggers and even using the climbing apparatus which was lots of fun. She was too small for the go karts: would of been good if they had a selection of smaller trikes or go karts for little ones. Didnt try the crazy golf but it looked fun. Had a turn on the tractor ride which goes along a path and back, but gets busy pretty quickly (HINT: if you queue and your standing wayyyyy back passed the tree on the path you're not getting on). Lucky for us, the lovely driver put a second run on for us because we had queued for ages. The day we went they had a foam party which was fantastic my 2 year old wasn't a fan but the other children were having a wonderful time and you dried off pretty quickly afterwards in the sun. (HINT: Bring a spare change of clothes anyway, because you're bound to get muddy and sandy). Indoor play area is fab, there is soemthing for all ages and it's a great place to get some respite from the sun. The slides are huge (HINT: you must wear long sleeved tops and bottoms to ride the slides). Also, if you want to go on with your toddler you must wear socks (HINT: socks are sold for £1 at the canteen). All in all, this is by far the best place for little ones with bags of energy. You could literally spend all day in the playground and forget to see animals!! It's well worth the money and I will definately be returning soon.

Open March to November, the basic train ride runs from Page's Park, on the south side of Leighton Buzzard, to Stonehenge Works, to the north of the town, and the return journey takes 80 minutes. Santa Specials operate in December, and the railway is closed in January and February. Party bookings can be made either on public services or on a charter basis. Refreshments are available at both ends of the line.

On 9th May 1848 Parliament passed a private act to allow for common land owned by the church to be awarded to the then Leighton Buzzard Urban District Council “as a place of recreation for the inhabitants of Leighton Buzzard and the neighbourhood”. In 1974 the land transferred ownership from the Urban District Council to the newly formed Parish Council of Leighton-Linslade, who retain ownership today. A dedicated grounds team take pride in managing the park on a daily basis and has overseen the park taking shape to incorporate the many facilities it now has to offer. These include toilet facilities, children’s play area, skate park, youth shelter, multi-use games arena and splash ‘n’ play.

Never had a bad beer in here and that's a high compliment to any pub. They take great care of the beer on offer. Always welcome and accommodating to anyone particularly the local community and a t clubs. The only beer I've ever not liked in here is because of not liking the beer not the quality of the beer! Pork pies are on point. This is a proper pub and proper pub experience!

Over 400 acres of woodland, heathland and meadows for all to enjoy, with heronry visible from the Visitor Centre providing a secure breeding ground for around ten pairs of grey herons each spring. Woodland walks with fairy trail, Giant's Chair, family cycling and horse-riding routes, dogs welcome. Tree Tops cafe situated in the Visitor Centre. We run a number of events throughout the year - see our website for details. Rushmere Country Park is managed by The Greensand Trust on a not for profit basis - all funds raised are invested into the running of the park.
This place is great for all ages, couples, friends and families. Easy access to the car park which has a fair few spaces. There are lots of different walking routes, with beautiful scenery. There is a cafe at the start and also a cafe further down the route if you head towards the river/lake. (Toliets as well) Best time to visit is obviously on a sunny day, and after lunch time! Mornings are always super busy. Car park is not free and is payable on exit
